The water guardian was persistent, the warrior could admit that. However, it didn’t make up for the fact that she was out of shape, like the rest of them. The guardians relied too much on their powers. Most of them weren't even fighters.
When they had informed her that Kandrakar had done nothing to prepare them for the responsibility that weighed on their shoulders, Orube had decided to take matters into her own hands. She was going to have a long and serious talk with the Oracle.
They couldn’t have faith in their powers all the time. They had lost them before. They could again.
Turning around to look at the younger girl, Orube’s back was straightened as golden eyes averted their attention upon her. She had barely broken a sweat, too used to battle. “All right,” she uttered, head raised with a stoic expression. Barely even getting into a fighting position, wanting to offer the guardian a chance to take her.
“Try again.”

They were lying on the floor, unwinding from a long day of classes. Hay Lin had just gotten the vinyl of Karmilla’s new album, wanting to prepare for the concert they were attending in a few weeks; and what better way to do that than hearing Karmilla’s angelic rock voice on a thrifted record player? “She is sooo badass,” Hay Lin squealed as she started to sit up from the ground, realizing that she was getting a little peckish.
In her cupboard was a box of chocolate Pocky, one that she had already dug a little bit in to a few days ago. Using her fingers to grab one of the Pocky sticks and place it between her lips, she looked at her friend who peered at her curiously. “Oop— sorry. Want one? It’s chocolate!” she spoke, offering the package of treats to Irma.
It was more delightful to share them anyways!
send my muse a 🍫 to share a box of pocky with them, or send ❤️ to have our muses play the Pocky Game.
‘the bad man’s gone.’
“are you sure?”
‘the doctors all say it’s a coping mechanism.’
“--sounds real serious. do you believe it?”
“actually… i just miss you.”
“yeah, i miss you a lot sometimes too.”
