Colored the hylacrodus sketch from the train. I already feel the effects of overtime gnawing at my drive to draw and enjoy myself, gotta watch this trend like a hawk...

After spending Christmas break rather sicklish, I’m finally getting my steam back. 2018′s résumé looks nice, I think I progressed in every aspect that I wanted to change for the better. 2019′s resolution needs one adjustment, though - I need to draw the stuff I see in my head instead of dreaming of drawing it, no matter how it turns out.

... and this is the first step towards that goal, a quickish and rough view of two related fidetripariterian species. It’s a semi-arid region, and also the home of the hylacrodus.

My output is a bit poor these days, but I’m just getting too old for this overtime nonsense. Very quick train doodles of blue “Iskaric Attici” and two tests of a new brush pen. Do those count towards Inktober? ^^’

Gestural sketches from the train(s) because I need to practice looser and more fluid shapes. I feel that the split of my headworld into separate areas really helped me to “allow” every kind of image and creature again, no need to find compromises anymore...

Now that we’re back to good old overtime, I think I can put the thought of completing Inktober to rest. Have a dirty little compilation of “Iskaric Attici” instead - I’m still unsure if these fit Sohaereàn or Aeskareion better, but I want to use them as a species so badly.
