Why Do Character Question The Supernatural's Existence In Sonic?

So due to I think it was Tailstube or a Twitter Takeover, Shadow scoffed at the idea of ghosts existing which got me thinking. The Sonic World is filled with all kinds of ghosts and supernatural occurrences which makes me question why do characters in-universe doubt the existence of the supernatural.

The Boos, Boom Boos, and King Boom Boo from the Adventure, Rivals games are just one example. In Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles you have the Hyudoros. And in Sonic Unleashed: Night of the Werehog some ghosts appear as well.

Meanwhile you have the gods known as Light and Dark Gaia.

You have whatever is going on with the storybook games.

Finally you have character likes Amy Rose displaying some level of magical abilities. Written by Eris

In Japanese, the way men and women are supposed to construct sentences actually does differ. If you know anything about Japanese, you’re probably aware that there are multiple first person pronouns, which each have different gendered connotations. That’s probably the most prominent example of how language in Japanese is gendered, but there are other ways too.

So the original Japanese was probably two sentences that mean the same thing, but one with a male construction and one with a female construction, just based off of what I know about Japanese. Translating that into English wouldn’t be easy, though, so they went with That.

I've been thinking about my Puyo Chronicle posts from earlier and honestly I know Chronicle was a game with like not that much thought put into it, but sometimes I wish it was. A lot of little details don't really make sense when put together and the world of Chronicle feels very empty as much as like. I like the game? And I enjoy working on the fan translation? I suppose I wish there was more. Did you know they cut a lot of dialogue from it? I think the worst offense was cutting a bit of dialogue where Sig actually offers some information to the team instead of acting like a passive presence in the party. I wish they kept that.

In comparison to Fever 2 which was clearly...clearly setting something up with the lore and after re-reading Google translated transcripts of the library in that game I just? I dunno I miss when the lore was at least given some sort of love because there was a lot of care and attention into making Primp town really feel like a real place with a rich history, one that the player would get to unearth in a future installment. While the Chronicle world is just so devoid of that.

I know people don't really give a shit about fever and just kind of care more about the well-established compile/madou monogatari lore which like, I get, but there's so much! In fever 2! Im always going to be wondering where it was planned to go and I hope some people share the same passion for its world beyond just the characters of it..yknow

🐬 if you could transform into any animal/magical creature, what would you be and why?

i think i would love to be a little songbird. maybe a robin or warbler. they’re so fun to watch in my back yard when we put out suet and seed for them, making wonderful noises for us to enjoy and for us to watch, playing with their friends and competing with the squirrels to get the seed. it must be so fun to fly and to live together with other birds!

👻 do you believe in ghosts and why? 

i do believe in ghosts, or spirits at the least. i think they like to watch over us, especially the spirits of our dearly departed. they might not like to make themselves known super often, but i think they’re there, having faith in us for us to complete our goals and attain our aspirations.

🍪 what did you want to be as a kid, and what do you want to be now?

as a kid, i never really knew what i wanted to be other than yknow...kid-like aspirations like doctor, or astronaut, or figure skater. my parents placed a heavy emphasis on academia and so with that support, i was good at a lot of subjects and never really found one that i was better at than the others until high school. i took a semester intro to psychology class and it just really clicked for me. i loved the material and i loved the teacher. i’ve talked about it on twit before but my love of psych actually inspired my teacher to put together an ap class for, which i took my senior year and got a 5 on the test. so now, i want to be a therapist. i want to help kids like me who never had someone to look after them and care for them. overall, i just want to help. i see too much suffering nowadays and i want to make the world a little brighter for the kids who have to inherit it.

1. Animated character that was your gay awakening?

Hoo boy I had to really think about this one but it was probably Skating Queen Cookie from Cookie Run? Lmao... I also liked a lot of m/m ships when I was younger and imagined myself as like one character in them but yeah IDK if that counts. Definitely something I did though

3. What show/YouTube video(s) do you put on in the background when you when you don’t have anything to watch but you want something on?

It’s been a wild assortment of things lately? When I’m doing schoolwork or art I only listen to music, if I’m doing mundane things like chores or sewing or something I like watching AntsCanada, Hornet King, sometimes I watch stream archives but that’s kinda rare. I prefer watching those with my girlfriend

It's really bold and vibrant, and you have a really unique usage of color. Also you're really good at making faces stand apart from each other and you have really good expressions and screams

my main ocs will ALWAYS be at the forefront of my mind because i love them and they have been with me for so long..............and i was actually working on a whole entire webcomic pitch for tobiah and eden’s story! i sorta put it aside after i graduated college though :( (because retail work kicks my ass)
