I can see shiro loving Keith's hair long but lance picks on Keith for having a mullet so much that it gets to him and he cuts it all off on his own but is caught halfway through by lance who tells him he sucks at hair cutting and are both so loud that shiro overhears and nearly has a heart attack because they'd both already killed his hair. Since the cats out of the bag Keith asks shiro to cut his hair so they'd have matching haircuts. Because Keith asks cutely he does it but scolds Keith later.
