On Middle Age and a Terrible Mindset

I am middle aged. That is the reality. Judging by how elderly women get in my family, at forty seven, I’m a smidge over the halfway point. I’m ok with that. However, lately I have been more and more mindful of a certain mindset that I keep hearing that I find more and more disturbing and sad.

What is that mindset? Variations of “I can’t learn” or “I’m too old to learn how”.
