I agree with the whole 'the writers wanted to show Dexter wasn't this great guy' thing, i feel like the scene when Dexter returned to the police station in the final is underrated a little. Dexter's guard was down because of what had just happened so he didn't hide the lack of emotion he was feeling and I like to pretend that Angel and Quinn caught a glimpse of what Doakes and LaGuerta had picked up on and maybe it might have all clicked for them too. Just a wild theory haha
oh yeah i definitely think angel saw it. and quinn had always been suspicious of dexter after ritas death, so he was probably thinking ‘i fuckin knew it’
