Do your duty as a citizen of the internet and never repost a webp!!! Always convert to jpeg, png, or gif!

I am once again not saying that you're wrong, I'm saying that nothing I've ever used has had an issue with webp. Is it silly that it's a new file format that Google decided to make? Sure, but also everyone saying "I hate webp" like... I don't get it. From Discord to Skype to Gmail (obviously) to even things like the friggin PS4 messaging system and dropbox, I've never had issues with anything pertaining to compatibility or just... Period? So everyone saying "Nothing is compatible with webp" I just don't believe because they'll bring up examples I use on a daily basis and I can just. Upload webp files with no issue. Again, I don't mean to be rude, I just can't, personally, find anything the file format DOESN'T work with

Literally no social media at all use Webp. You cannot add Webp to Tumblr. Or Twitter. Or Insta. Or anything.

I cannot import Webp into 99% of art programs.

I cannot import Webp into 100% of video editing programs.

Webp sucks and is incompatible and if Google made it, it's going to be forced down everyone's throats even though it serves no real purpose and solves no issues that PNG, JPEG, GIF, etc already didn't solve.

Webp is is lame. It's a hindrance.

You sure can LOOK at a Webp image but that's about ALL you can do with it. You cannot do anything else with it.

And yeah, of course it works with Dropbox, Dropbox is literally a file hosting site. It hosts files. You can upload it.

You can VIEW webp on things. But you can't DO anything with a Webp once you have it.

It sucks. I hate it. The end.
