Climbs up on a rock && so very casually shifts his mask just enough to get in close. PRESSES HER LIPS JUST BELOW THE CORNER OF ONE POWERFUL EYE && SMILES (◕‿◕✿）

       left  to  his  own  devices,  &  very  quietly  for  first  watch.  shin-ah  sat  at  the  top  of  the  camp,  alone  &  focused  on  the  surrounding  lands.  there  was  a  simple,  viable  joy  that  came  with  being  left  with  this  task.  having  now  been  able  to  PROTECT  those  he  held  dear,  valuable  friends  he’d  never  thought  to  have.  with  eyes  that  could  see  everything,  it  was  a  wonder  he’d  missed  so  much  of  the  world  surrounding  him.  to  see  a  moonlight  night,  gather  warmth  around  a  campfire,  even  to  share  food  with  company,  (  though  admittedly  there  had  not  been  much  SHARING  ).  the  world  was  now  his  to  see,  &  he  had  finally  been  released  from  the  darkness  that  encompassed  him.  it  was  all  thanks  to  HER.  &  now  all  the  blue  dragon  wished  was  to  return  such  kindness,  protect  her,  &  become  worthy  of  the  name  that  she’d  given  him.

       head  quick  to  turn  at  approaching  presence,  already  aware  of  WHO  it  could  be.    ❛  —  yona. ❜    words  said  as  less  of  a  question  &  more  of  a  quicksand  statement  as  red-headed  princess  walked  up  the  hill.  thoughts  left  to  wander  as  to  WHY  she  was  up  at  such  an   hour,  &  why  she  was  wandering  up  to  watch  when  it  was  his  job  a l o n e.  though  she  only  got  closer,  so  close  that  shin-ah  moved  face  viably  back.  foreign  hands  moving  to  press  against  mask,  moving  it  upwards  &  causing  a  quick  noise  of  distress  from  blue  dragon’s  lips.  unable  to  truly  move,  for  if  he  did  he  might  cause  her  to  fall  over  as  well. 

       all  lead  to  press  against  CURSED  lid,  left  to  widen  at  sudden  touch,  cheeks  left  in  a  flurry  of  pinks  &  reds  as  she  pulled  away.  OWN  hands shooting  forward  to  press  mask  against  face  &  away  from  HER,  fire  shooting  through  dulled  veins.    ❛  — i  don’t  ?  ❜    the  only  permissible  vowels  quiet  voice  was  left  to  make,   there  was  a  visible  confusion  followed  by  distress.  just  WHAT  was  yona  thinking,  &  why  would  she  put  herself  in  such  a  dangerous  state  ?
