Ya know sometimes I see discourse in things that I've got absolutely no direct personal reference for, except though several degrees of separation...
And one one hand I wonder what's going on, and want to try and investigate, dig into things, and all that. And on the other I'm just thinking "thank fuck I've got no idea what that's all about" and try very hard not to let my curiosity drag me into whatever bullshit is going on.
I don't have the energy for drama, and if I spend energy on it anyway it'll be coming at the expense of my ability to do literally anything else instead. So... sometimes better to let icebergs float past in peace.
Some people who's stuff I like and their extended communities (or I guess just the community in general probably cause it seems kinda widespread) are more or less at war and I really can't be bothered to figure out the details and nuance of it all. Not worth it. Can't deal with it.
If you good reader, like myself, don't have the energy for discourse, and find yourself tempted to in ANY way engage with it, let me be your reminder and/or encouragement not to engage. DO NOT ENGAGE. Just don't. Go play Pokemon or Minecraft, or reread that book you've been putting off (I've been putting off reading/rereading SO many books), or leave comments on this post (I guess not reblogs because apparently there's some other bullshit going on with that right now, also something I'm not going to look into too deeply) (nevermind that got resolved already) about whatever else it is you decide to do instead, tell me and eachother about your hyperfixations, etcetera.
