as I'm reading through higurashi chap8, the thing about Takano is that yes, she is a ruthless character that will stop at nothing, not even hurting children, to achieve her and her grandpa's dream, to enact her strong will; and I think her childhood had a great part on it - even though she was a child, Takano was hurt and tortured in such horrendous ways in the orphanage, can what she does really compare to that since the pain she inflicts has a real purpose and aim?
She's such an interesting villain and character... I can't help but see her as a lil 30yo meow meow and also a terrible person that broke my heart at the end of chap7 by stepping over everyone else's will, over everyone's hope - my own hope that despite how bleak everything was, Rika and everyone could have made it out of it. I knew it couldn't have ended well, the pieces were already set on the board, but the sole fact that they joined forces, trusted and relied on each other like never before, like real family, gave me hope I didn't know I could manage by the end of chap7.
Anyway, I can't wait see how things develop as I continue reading chap8's new scenario :D
