Conducting Research || Dille
Life had gotten hectic for one Dipper Pines. His classes were harder than he had anticipated. Which meant he had to spend more time actually applying himself to what he was learning. Not that he cared, really. It was nice to be challenged, to be learning things that he hadn’t known before. So he’d been content when it had sucked up all his time. Distracted him from the two journals sitting beneath his bed, collecting dust (figuratively speaking of course, Dipper would never let them do that).
But, for the moment, he was finally free. Could take a breath knowing that for once he was caught up in enough of his classes that he could bring his attention elsewhere. Back to his journals, back to the puzzle they posed for him, and back to the offer of help with research. Which all led him back to Belle. The girl was smart and he did like her. And the fact she had a book shoppe that was hers, hers, that just amped up the coolness that was Belle. Dipper could only imagine all the books she had, all the material on the things he was interested in. It was insane and amazing and just thinking about it had Dipper excited to make his way over.
Which is what he did, unannounced and really unprepared. He had his journals, the two of them nestled beneath his arm and bound together by a belt. It was a little late but the thought of Belle not being there entered his mind causing his steps to pause. It would be harder to navigate the book shoppe without her, harder to figure out what exactly he was looking for, but he’d do it somehow.
Thankfully, he didn’t have to worry about that because the moment he stepped foot into the shoppe he saw Belle. She had her back turned and he cleared his throat a bit to catch her attention. “You up for some research?”
