LET ME SHOW MY APPRECIATION
Can we get away from the "oh, someone will love you!" narrative that is told to those who are single and/or being pressured to find a relationship? Nobody will love me who doesn't want to. Telling me that someone will *eventually* love me gives me false hope for something that might not ever happen. In addition, it conditions me to think that someone owes me love and affection. In reality, no one owes me shit.
So, I'd like to take a moment to point out something funny. Provenza is always saying, "It's always the husband." Well, not this time Provvie. This time it was the wife.
There are days...
There are days when you wish you didn’t exist
Anymore
There are days when you wish you’d get carried away
From Here
There are days when you wish that no one could reach you
But They Can
There are days that I wish you could stay
In My Arms
There are times that feel like they last forever
But Don’t
There are times that you wish you knew more about
All The Time
There are times when things feel like they couldn’t get worse
But They Can
There are times when you wish life would run out
Of Your Veins.
Okay, so there is like 0% chance of this actually happening, but what if when Andy gets hurt and is unconscious in 4x11, he flashes back to some of the special moments he’s shared with Sharon since they’ve started dating and we get to see some of the moments in their relationship that may have happened off screen (i.e. their first date at Serve, their first kiss, etc.)?
“Thank you.” “I’ll see you soon.” “Sakura.” “You really are annoying.”
okay, let me try to explain my emotions more for the people who are asking.
1. i'm selling (essentially giving away: these prices are not accurate) a lot of my clothes. all of my clothes *feel* irreplaceable to me and selling them feels like selling my children. but i don't get enough use out of them, a lot of them barely fit me at all(usually way too big), i don't have enough storage space for them all now and i'm gonna have significantly less space after may. this is the right choice. but it feels like just... it feels like the worst. if you buy my clothes, please love them and please look sexy in them. otherwise you will break my heart even worse.
2. i want a social life but i don't want to come to campus this much anymore. i can't afford to go into the city all the time and campus is only ten minutes walk away but no one ever has reason to come out to my apartment. i understand everyone's busy and i understand my friends love me even if they don't have time to come over and i do have all the fucking free time in the world so it makes sense for me to come here instead of vice versa. i can't afford to host weekly parties anymore. and i think its hilarious when my friends say "you don't even go here anymore!" but when someone who is pointedly not my friend says it, no amount of laughing makes it feel like a joke. it just feels true. and it makes me feel stupid. and this campus is full of people who are not my friends because, in part, the fact that i don't go here anymore. the frequency with which i come here represents my failure at real life. and that joke points it out. and i hate myself for my failure.
3. i do not understand why most of these people are doing the marathon. i just.... i am so not on the same page as them. and why should i be? this is a different fucking generation and (see above:) i don't even go here anymore. honestly, i don't know most of their names. i don't like them. i don't like their habits. i don't like their taste. i wonder if this is what Nevan felt like watching Midnight Cabaret when i was in charge of it the first time. i'm pretty sure he had a lot of respect for Michael and me, i definitely felt we usually had his blessing, at least, but i wonder if he felt this out of depth with the club he had been part of founding. i always intended for this to be my last 24-hour marathon. i thought that was gonna be hard for me. its not. i don't want to do this again. i don't think most of the people here would want to do anything like this with me again. i feel intrusive and alien in an event that i started. i'm just tolerated.
4. but i have nothing better to do. not really. see above re: failure.
5. i have to walk home with whatever costumes and props i don't sell.
i think i probably have some other feelings but honestly i can't even focus enough to remember what.
