i'm reading a tiktok ( wigglywobblytimeywimey is the creator ) that goes into detail about the time period that jinu is from and the way that morality is taught.
okay, so during this particular dynasty ( jonseon ), the king's word is law. NO ONE was allowed to bring their family to the king's palace, not even high ranking aristocrats ( yangban ). the only people allowed and invited to the palace were nobles, officials, and court musicians ( like jinu ). if jinu had angered the king by disobeying him and insisting his family come in, jinu's actions would have translated into disrespect by the king and possibly even be counted as treason. the most likely punishment would have been the king ordering society to reject jinu, which would have made things worse for him and his family, which he ( again ) would have blamed himself for. and in the palace, he was more than likely under extremely close watch and unable to contact his family as they are considered commoners.
however, due to the way that morality was taught under the confucian principles, he would have felt guilty for being forced to make the "wrong choice" and not follow the principles of taking care of and honoring his family, no matter what. now, WE can see that jinu essentially had no choice but JINU does not see that due to the way that morality was viewed during that period.
this creates someone who is deeply troubled and carries a lot of guilt thanks to the morality that teaches a person that they are always the worst. g.wi-ma twisted all of this and used for his own purposes. it's also probably a huge reason why he was able to claim so many souls during this particular period.
ANGEL ABOVE, NOT THIS SHIT AGAIN
at least it's payday, so I can get the guy to the vet after work
Hi guys!
I'm very sorry to be late, some issues in the last test prints caused some delay, but finally!
THE PRINTS HAVE ARRIVED!!!!
They are beautiful, I'm. Absolutely speechless and so so so happy of how they came out.
Here's a little wip!
(Still cellophanned because. Gosh. They are too precious to even touch the air I breath honestly).
What's next:
So, from tomorrow I'll start to pack them. I don't know how long this process will take me, I'll try to be as quick as possible. I'll probably start shipping them in batches from next week, but I will keep you updated.
Thank you so much for the patience guys!
Thinking about the Blessings and Curses in Futuran lore - and how V'exhness is supposedly guarding the Boxes of Blessings, which means they appear to still exist?
Thinking about how there are thirteen boxes over all - seven Blessings and six Curses, iirc? - and how there are thirteen commanders. (And then the secret fourth Shrine Maiden of Wisdom.)
Thinking about how there were twelve wars on Futuram before this one - that this is the thirteenth war, just like there are thirteen commanders, just like there are thirteen boxes.
Thinking about how thirteen is an unlucky number here - and how in some cases, that goes back to Judas as the thirteenth member at the Last Supper.
Thinking about how once Judas died, another apostle was called to maintain the twelve.
Thinking about how Paul would be added later as the thirteenth.
Thinking about how Shion was called the Second Coming by the Futurans before he was stolen by the human invaders; thinking about how Shion has known his entire life that he is meant to die and sacrifice himself for a greater cause that would mean the salvation of humanity.
....
These things are blatantly not the same.
...but I'm still thinking about them.
trying not to jinx it but we're going mushing tomorrow and the trails are 1.) groomed but 2.) not open to snowmobiles yet and 3.) it's gonna be cold af (means empty of all other users usually). so promising.
