I've always hated when old people go on those rants about how paper books are better than ebooks "oh you can feel the paper" "books smell good"

and my autistic ass who wants to cry upon touching paper just has to sit there and listen to them talk

I've heard this exact argument so many times in school for some reason #like teachers looooove to convince you that paper books are better #no they are NOT and I will stand by my ebooks forever #there are downsides of course #but the sensory issues of physical books is a huge thing for me #I mean if I'm spending my own money on a book it better be a physical damn book #just for collecting purpose #or special books like art books or my Journal 3 book #or a manga #those are what I'd want physically #but just a regular novel without pictures?#I want that digitally #I'm not gonna sit there and read an entire novel #and suffer through rough smelly pages. cringing the entire time from it #depends on the paper ofc but you know those rough paper books right? that smell all weird?#those are the WORST
