I think it is good that we continue to learn and adapt to make things safer for children, but I also think it's hilarious that as a tiny child my squeezy bath toys were literally full of black mould and I thought it was great to squirt it into the bath and also my mouth and nobody really seemed to take much issue with that.

I swear every time i write something - be it a poem or song or fanfic or short story or essay - i learn something new about myself, or reveal something about myself that i don't notice for months or years until i look back and its like a neon fucking sign screaming at me, begging me to notice.

anyways. had some revelations today.

#at this point i REALLY need to figure out how to schedule a therapy appointment #i've gotten like #halfway there? i have a small list of therapists in my area i think might work but i just have to commit and schedule the appointment #i'm mostly fine #but if you wanna hear a funny story about me writing something Very Telling i will absolutely tell you #well. /i/ think its funny.

Temperature checks as a safety measure for COVID-19 are fucking asinine and literally piss me off.

Mr. Geeky and I both had it in April (and probably Mars too but she was asymptomatic) and neither of us had a rise in temperature. Mr. Geeky had mild flu-like symptoms that didn't involve them. I had a fuck ton of the shittier symptoms (loss of taste, breathlessness, really extremely awful body aches) and also didn't have a fever.

What a fucking pointless thing to add into an already overly complicated situation, I could literally scream every time I hear it's being implemented somewhere.

It's just for fucking show. It's only use is to give us the illusion that we have more control than we do. Fucking just stop.
