Day 80 Insane
I think I'm gonna have to disappoint you guys again. Say Help hasn't progressed at all since last week, and I don't see it getting done by Sunday.
I'm gonna explain why under the cut in case people don't wanna hear me vent again - because this is going to be a bit of a rant 😅
Trans women who believe other trans people oppress them are ontologically inferior to me, as someone who does not have to play those games or make pretend to feel good about themselves the way they do. The fact that I get by without that LARP is objective superiority to anyone who clings to it. Like, I am better than they are, provably, it's hard math.
Dear Christians,
Christ broke bread with thieves, tax collectors and prostitutes. Society's outcasts, criminals, and untouchables.
Is saying to a gay man 'I cannot be your friend because you are gay,' or a trans person 'my faith prevents me from being around you,' truly modeling Christ's love? No. This is using Christ to proclaim 'I am better than you.' It is living in a way that goes against what Jesus did.
Its bullying. It's hurtful. It's annoying. I know because I've been on the receiving end of it. It is one of the reasons I hate calling myself a Christian, even though I follow Christ's teachings. I am one of you, yet an outcast.
Sincerely,
Regulus the Witch
Let me just rant
Omg the amount of people who does not like Rafayel suddenly switching up just because he is portrayed what we all knew what he was capable of is... idk disappointing?
It shows that those people did not care about his lore and they have this weird sense of idea of masculinity that led them to dismiss Raf's 'manliness'. Just because he has softer features doesn't mean he isn't manly. Rafayel has always portrayed his dark side in some cards already and when you dive deeper to his lore you discover that his looks literally will deceive you.
Some players will automatically associate him with the word "feminine" "twink" or even being just the "gay bestie". It really feels so bittersweet that such a well written character is mischaracterized that much just because of stereotypes.
It's even more frustrating because some of the reason why they tend to associate Raf with those words is because of how he acts and dress himself. Masculinity should not be limited with JUST buff builds, strong personalities and darker color schemes.
Xavier tends to get this treatment too just because of his soft looks that's why they tend to overlook the fact that he is a very skilled and strong swordsman. The greatest hunter. Lumiere himself.
Compared to the MC, ALL of the guys are big. They have defined muscles that portrays their strength so why is it that most players (especially those who don't read lore) AUTOMATICALLY say Rafayel or Xavier is a twink?
They do have boyish looks but they are not slim or average built. They just look small compared to Caleb, Sylus, and Zayne since those three are giants but they are not small, am I making sense?
Now with the reveal of Sea God suddenly Rafayel is this manly character😭 he has always been. Am I being to defensive of a fictional character? You might think that but actually I'm more angry at the fact that it's already the year of 2025 and there are still people who unconciously encourage toxic masculinity.
You claim that you’re done with the show after the Theo storyline but continue to talk about it and bash it… why not just talk about bucktommy and move on?
and if you don't like what I talk about, why don't you block and move on?
I think that we can all agree that at some point in anime or manga or webtoon when we see this sexy character and we literally fall in love with that character and then we look at the main character and we think and we say out loud or mentally "If the main character won't end up with this sexy character I'm going to riot".
I prooooomise you the first time Fugo tries to 'fork' Giorno and slam his face into a table like he did to Narancia is the first (and possibly last) time Gold Experience puts a fist through Fugo's face, while Giorno disassociates HARD inside his head because of the absolute terror of the belt. Meanwhile his emotions shut down and his 'resting bitch face' turns him into DIO Jr:
I don't get it. I just don't. I can't work it out in my brain. I don't get how this is the 'better' pairing for Giorno than literally anyone else in the cast INCLUDING Abbacchio (who ALSO invokes Giorno's freeze-panic instinct, just to a slightly lesser extent). There's so much more than 'they're the same age' that's a factor here. I guess you could constellate Giorno's masochism into taking that, but for me anyway Giorno wants to top from the bottom - he wants to feel that violence both aimed at him and that he unleashes is controlled and basically at his whim. Narancia is 90000% the better match for Fugo because both of them have similar flash-fires of random violence, aggressive behavior and then abrupt cooldowns; their natures are much, much more compatible. Let them take aim on each other, as they both seem to enjoy it.
