Five Years From Now
Five years from now I’d personally like to know what I’d be doing ten years from now.
All jokes aside, five years from now I’d like to be settled in a job with good prospects, benefits, and have the ability to save and buy a house and support a family. I see myself being the breadwinner and eventually furthering my education with some sort of VTD or CS degree to make my graphic design degree more marketable. There’s a possibility I’d be freelancing or working within a company as an in-house Graphic Designer/Web Marketer.
I really think just being out of school for the first time since kindergarten is going to be the strangest part of the next five years. There’s a lot of unknowns I’m facing and it’s somewhat exciting, but at the same time terrifying. I don’t know what is going to happen, and I only have a vague idea of where I want to go.
In project news, this week was mainly spent refining designs (no images, sorry), and researching sustainable sticker companies. I think honestly the best thing to do is print the stickers normally, as they’re not meant to be recycled, but used, and to get whatever print-shop I can to use recyclable paper I would purchase to print my posters. I think that having the off-white, textured paper would work amazingly for my simple, white background posters. I’m excited for the show after spring break as well! Can’t wait!
