         crimson red oozed from the gash in her ankle as she limped her way into a diner. she hissed in pain & sat herself down on the floor, scrummaging through her bag in an attempt to find something to soothe the wound. she pulled out old pieces of fabric & a tiny bottle of vodka, much like the ones you’d find on planes. she peered up to the survivor that accompanied her & suggested towards the alcohol.  ❝ —- the last thing we want is to be trapped in here once the walkers get a whiff of my blood. so i need you to pour this on while i scream, sound good? ❞

                “When you’ve been alive for as long as I have . . . you have to make tough decisions every now and then, you understand?” Kara asked, but did not wait for an answer before she continued, “Some good, some bad, some I am not ashamed to admit that I regret but--” She liked the blood away from the back of her hand, flashing too sharp teeth that have not yet reverted from their canine form. “This was not one of them.”
