Just tell them how much you LOVE the story and how you think about it all the time, then mention you were wondering about an update. :) Any decent person would be flattered so long as you don’t just show up yelling “MOAR!”
this is good advice but i honestly will probably never do it bc i’m a total chicken OTL and i mean judging by how long it’s been since the last update and also the fact that the person seems to have mostly moved on to different fandoms, i think it’s safe to assume that they’ve abandoned the fic :( idk though and like i said, i’m way too scared to ask :\\\
