same and same. I feel like her getting saved would take away everything Library was, kind of like bringing back Rose ruined Doomsday, for me.
ugh, same. bringing back Rose in s4 made me dislike her character. tho, it was a huge part because of the way she was written there. but I do not want River to be treated that way, because JUST NO?

I sort of do because I love her so much, but then I know what you mean - I think the fact that she’s technically dead before this begun gave their whole story a really nice tragic theme.
I just love the tragedy aspect of their relationship so much, shoot me. but I cannot help it. I think that rescuing River from the Library would - in a way - make me lose a bit of interest/love for Doctor/River? plus, I absolutely cannot imagine them travelling together, with River as a companion.

I know what you mean. I love her and want her to be saved, but I also love the tragedy of her/their whole story and if she was rescued it would take away from that. So idk.
I think that rescuing her would take a lot from her story and the relationship between her and Doctor. but then again, depends how it'd be executed, but I still: do not want to do that.

i hope IF she escapes the library, she does so on her own, because that’d be cool. (also i feel the same about adele bless u)
well, I guess it'd be cool, her rescuing herself. although, I think I'd prefer if she decided to delete herself from the hard drive, because idk, somehow I think that she wouldn't necessary by so keen on the eternal life there. (people who feel the same way about Adele should unite or sth ;))

I agree. She had a poignant, beautiful, and meaningful death; saving her would detract from that and make it seem almost pointless.
yes. this so much. I like how her story kind of makes full circle here: River - in a way - is born while saving Doctor in LKH and she dies doing the very same thing.

Agreed. River being ‘saved’ in the Library is part of a quite dense web of symbols that are essential for her character (books, archaeology, stories, dust, etc). To rob her of her death, however heartbreaking, would be a shame.
this this this? you put into words perfectly what I couldn't name. it just fits her character, her story, all the paths she's chosen. it's just a wonderful beginning/ending of her character imho, wouldn't change it.
