This is my very great friend Pat Emerick @pjepix , we met 10 years ago, the last skate photo in this scroll is the day we met at Pala Skatepark at Old Man Skate Camp. Pat has been fighting ALS since 2018 and he asked me to shoot a portrait at Alga Skatepark for Brian Wallach’s advocacy group @iamalsorg which is doing great work. We masked up and I shot with my long lens and shot this portrait in the bottom of the bowl at Alga Skatepark and shot more elsewhere and with his biggest supporter @halfinstagram . Eric Dane is breaking my heart on Beautiful Minds tonight. His ALS has progressed noticeably since his Countdown press junket interviews, you can hear it in his voice, see it in his face, and the onion ninjas killed me twice this episode. He can still stand and move his arm, which is good, but it’s hard watching him go through this.

And the writing - the writing in this show is good, but this episode is killing me, and the voice banking speech he did at the end just gutted me.
