no but what if preserum steve never took the captain america serum and instead went to the front lines as a nurse and bucky is brought in bleeding out and steve's like knows he shouldn't operate because he is too emotional about this but he can't let anyone else take care of bucky because bucky is his everything and always was there to take of him so now it's steve's turn to take care of bucky and i jsut i cry a lot about them

i read the first two lines and had to take a deep breath to continue i'm so weAK

and bucky didn't know that steve was there so when he's brought in he's half-conscious and thinks he's hallucinating and then when he wakes up afterwards he sees steve and he still can't believe that he's there and he saved him and steve's like "i told you not to try and win the war until i got here, you jerk" and bucky just says "punk" and stares at steve because he's so beautiful and such a dork and he's there with him and he had honestly thought he would die and he didn't because of steve and i'm just i can't
