I mostly draw this character as a dragon creature now, but in my heart of hearts I know high school me just wanted a cool lookin husky character. I do think he looks pretty cool! Live your dreams, make art you would have thought was cool before you had the skillset to do it.

I haven’t drawn humans in a while, so why not revisit two of my older characters for some warm-up doodles? This is Hana and Tanuki (& Rodney.) They were part of an online RPG world, where Hana was the player’s avatar and Tanuki was the fighting pet companion.

One of the things about RPGs is you’re always updating your look, and Hana’s design was definitely no exception.

These characters later became recycled into Elysia and Treble of Team Heal Bell.

Art of 3 nerds. Things were so much simpler and happier back then before the whole FIREWALL versus VIRUS fiasco. It’s almost like all three of these precious beans and their creators are sadistic writers who love drama.

How glad are u that ianti is gone 5ever?

Considering that I left before it went down, I don’t really have an opinion one way or another. I’m sure that it sucks for the people that enjoyed it, but from what I’ve seen - it  was a little soul draining towards the end and pretty much everyone was just tired of it.

hello i'm a new anon & a one-time iav member. i don't know what has happened for ppl to start trolling you but i am upset to see it. you are a very nice & reasonable person! i didn't know ianti was in trouble but after i looked through the tags it really looks like it is dying?? which is sad. but if people are acting this way now and sending you troll anon messages then it says more about them than about you! and it is probably best if it shuts down if ppl like this are on the site! (hugs!!)

Thank you very much Anon. The story behind the trolling is unfortunately a long one which largely begins and ends with my personal willingness to stand up and say things for people who are afraid to defend themselves. I acted as a voice for a group of dissatisfied and angry members abused by the staff on the site; and I have paid for it in punishments from the administration and as you can see… a lot of back-biting.

It is horribly sad what happened on that site. But it is even more sad to see what these people have allowed themselves to become. It may be for the best if the site shuts down, but it is not the site’s fault that its become this way. Nor are its problems unsolvable if people are willing to put the effort into doing that.

Until then, I will continue to make what effort I can. 

=) Honestly it’s people like you that keep me going and keep me positive. There are people and ideas worth fighting for. I know from personal experience that trolls don’t last forever. Eventually they give up and go away. I just have to outlast them.

Also a different anon. I don't follow you, but I do track the Ianti/Iantivirus tags to keep tabs on art etc etc. This is a polite request asking you to remove those tags from all that bullshit. That's not why I follow the tags. And if people have them blacklisted, merely mentioning "Ianti" in the post is enough for Tumblr Savior to hide the post from someone. Thank you in advance!

I have the posts tagged appropriately since the trolling is sourced from members of that site just as any of the art, fanfiction or what have you is. So I have no intention of removing the tags. I apologize for any inconvenience that causes you personally, but after all their personal insistence that I tag things appropriately it would be impolite to fail to tag their site for all the things that concern them - good or bad.

Besides Anon, you are not the only one tracking the Ianti/Iantivius tags. To be fair I have to take those others into account as well.

Nope. I don’t have the time or inclination to pay attention to that sort of thing and the sorts of blogs I actually follow don’t have that kind of content and are for the purpose of educating myself about art and important matters in our culture like the state of American politics, feminism, LBGT concerns, etc. etc. 

I don’t care if they wanted me to take it seriously, dismiss it out of hand, or if they wanted me to poke fun at it. 

If “Anonymous” wants to troll me I’m going to at the very least enjoy myself. You can’t take things to seriously in life. Certainly not trolls. 

I apologize to any of my followers who are confused or curious about the flood of troll-mail. I reassure you that I am quite fine, and in good humor. They’ll digress when they realize that they can’t get a rise out of me. (Until then I encourage you to view these messages in the same light that I myself do.) <3
