Ib sipped at her mug of hot chocolate and watched the snow fall outside. Garry had promised to make a snowman with her as soon as they were done with their drinks. Once she was warmed up and her cup was empty, she reached over and tugged on Garry's shirt.
They both put on their jackets and Garry helped Ib with her gloves, then he opened the door and they were hit with a cold breeze. Ib ran out to the middle of the yard while Garry followed shortly behind.
She began to grab snow and make a ball. After it got bigger than her hands, Ib was sent off to gather stuff so they could decorate their snowman once it was finished.
Not wanting to go too far from her friend, Ib dug through the snow where she knew at least some pebbles were. The gloves she wore made it hard to grab at the rocks, but she was thankful that her hands weren't freezing.
Garry had a decent sized ball of snow and was working on the second ball by the time Ib was back with her arms full of pebbles and sticks. She dropped them in a pile and put her hands over Garry's to help him push the second ball into place.
The head, Ib decided, was going to be the size of Garry's head.
When the head of the snowman was finally in place, Garry began to stuff the sticks in the snow to make arms. Ib grabbed the handful of pebbles and began making the face with a giant smile.
Once it was finished they stepped back to admire it. Ib smiled at their creation until she noticed that Garry was shivering, then she grabbed his hand and pulled him back inside.
