Liam eyed the newcomer with poorly concealed curiosity, head tilting as he watched Dr. Li usher her into the lab. It’d been awhile since anyone new had entered the Institute. Attempting to return to his work, he was unable to resist a few glances towards the closed door every once in a while.
After what seemed like an eternity, Dr. Li and the other woman exited the lab. At a volume that was too quiet for Liam to hear, Li murmured some sort of instruction to her before disappearing out the doorway to the main atrium. “Uh -- hey,” he greeted a bit awkwardly, waving weakly at the dark-haired girl. “I’m Liam. It’s . . . nice to see a new face around here.”
