Today's inktober is graceful. I know I am not going to finish this tonight because its my deep well project - something I work on when I'm in a certain mood. About once a month I have a day where a part of me feels hopeless. No talent. No progress. No significant contributions to greater society or local community. An absolute waste of space wrapped in a fleshy casing labeled human. Every failure that I never quite got over shows up to battle. A lot of lies I was foolish to believe rise from the dead. Little red flags I missed about something even as far away as a decade ago flare up screaming for attention, asking "How could you miss me! I was right in your face! You're an idiot!" Every reversed card of fate that constrains me checks the shackles and repairs any weak points of me actually finding a way to solve my own problems. This is why I like horror. I like horror because with a book or movie this kind of chaos is contained. When the story ends, everything ends. But in real life horror is different. Its not neatly edited for American audiences to have managable endings. So I have learned to sit with my horror and draw. Its the only reason why I draw. #inktober catch up. This theme is #teeming. I used to zone out on sand when I was a little kid. I loved collecting seashells a LOT and digging my toes into warm sand. I used to feel rich for finding rare colors, stripes, and sizes. #inktober catch up. Theme is fierce. I keep having a dream about little girls in crystal balls floating in the ocean. They get attacked by sea monsters but their bubbles protect them. When a monster emerges, instead of curling and crying they stand up to face the monsters and even give the finger. The weather is always stormy with brief breaks of light that show golden hour during a sunrise or sunset.
