Kaiden, Ria and Ina have died.
".....has died." finish it in my ask.
Rapunzel felt like she couldn't breathe. That was definitely not the type of news she wanted to hear; Kaiden, Ria and Ina weren't just like her family - they were part of her family.
She tried to breathe, tried to get herself to relax, but she just couldn't. She leaned against the wall, and eventually slid down so that she was sitting, her legs bent and her arms wrapped around them, digging her face into her knees, and she sobbed.
She could still see their faces, hear their voices... she could hear their laughter after Kaiden had done something absolutely, ridiculously funny; she could see Ria's bright and shiny face as she smiled, her eyes glowing all the while; she could see Ina as she did the same, the three of them a perfect addition to her small but amazing family.
Oh, Ria and Ina were so young, they had so much left to see and do, so much to live for. So much that Kaiden had left to teach them; there was still so much for Kaiden himself to see and do.
Rapunzel sat up, resting the back of her head against the wall.
She couldn't believe this. She refused to believe that they were gone.
There was one thing she knew for certain, though: she'd never forget them. Never forget the days she and Kai spent painting for hours on end, the days she'd watch Ria and just bask in how lively she was, the days where she and Ina would go on adventurers together.
