Howdy everyone, I'm Jackfrostbitten (known also as Frosty and Jack) and I have been an active member of the dsmpblr, hermitblr, trafficblr, empiresblr, and general MCYT Tumblr communities since 2018/2019. In light of recent containment breaches involving Hermitcraft's own BdoubleO100, I'm going to make a terminology list explaining our increasingly strange speech patterns.

Reblog: Similar to Twitter's retweet function. Because of the dashboard algorithm that Tumblr has, you're more likely to see posts reblogged by Tumblrs you follow. Reblogging is one of the best ways to boost posts that you enjoy.
Like: Standard liking system common to social media sites. They don't count nearly as much to the algorithm as reblogs.
Blog: A Tumblr user's page. This features what they've reblogged/posted, their likes (if they show them), and the other blogs they follow (if they show them). It also displays the person's name, DNI banner (if they have one) and information, and shows options for asking the Tumblr user questions, submitting things to them, and in some cases tipping them.
Tumblr Blaze: A Tumblr feature that allows users to pay money to boost their post to a number of random people. These show up as "sponsored" just as other ads on this site do.
CC! & C!: Both CC and C are tags put in front of a character/person. CC means "content creator" and C means "character". This system was introduced by dsmptwt and dsmpblr as a way of differentiating online creators from the characters they portray. This system has been extended to trafficblr, hermitblr, etc.
Trafficblr: The name for the Tumblr fandom associated with Double Life, Last Life, and 3rd Life. Named after a traffic light since the three lives system has the same colours as one.
Hermitblr: The name for the Tumblr fandom associated with Hermitcraft and the creators in it.
Horse Plinko: A meme involving a softbodied horse getting thrown down a plinko machine. Usually animated with varying quality and varying brutality by which the horse is destroyed.
Live Slug Reaction: A meme originating from Star Wars where a giant slug watches two men kiss with a disappointed/disgusted look. What the actual expression of the live slug is one of the greatest mysteries of Tumblr.
Destiel Meme: A meme originating from the TV show Supernatural. Castiel famously professed his love for Dean Winchester and then was thrown into "superhell" after being rejected by Dean. Oftentimes used in response to events (a reaction image).
Scrunkle: Affectionate term for a character that has a "feral", "garbage rat", etc. vibe.
Scrunglo: A variation of scrunkle.
Meow Meow: Affectionate term for a character with a "pathetic", "sopping wet cat", etc. vibe. The full term is "pathetic little meow meow", however many people use different versions to suit their needs.
Blorbo: Affectionate term for a character someone deeply enjoys.
DNI: Short for "Do Not Interact". Blogs that don't want other blogs of specific types interacting with them (liking, reblogging, etc.) have a DNI banner in their bio stating as such. Some have a DNI as their pinned post at the top of their blog. Some reasons a person might have a DNI is if they don't want NSFW blogs, content creators, etc. interacting with their blogs.
Brainrot: Affectionate term for when a person thinks a lot about a character(s) or a certain franchise. For example, if you had brainrot about Hermitcraft, it would be something you think a lot about and likely talk a lot about.
Blurb: A short piece of writing. This can be in fanfiction, a blog rambling, etc.
Stan: A person that is deeply involved in a fandom. Sometimes a stan can form a parasocial relationship with the person/thing they are stanning. The term stan was popularized by the BTS (a kpop band) fandom.
Dilf: An older man that one finds attractive.
Milf: An older woman that one finds attractive.
Ao3: A fanfiction website run by volunteers. People can create fanfiction and post it to the website.
Wattpad: A fanfiction website and app run by a company. People can create fanfiction and post it to the website/app.
Tumblr Sexyman: A term used in regards to very popular specific characters that people find attractive. Oftentimes art, fanfiction, etc. are made specifically for that character. Some examples are Alastor from Hazbin Hotel, Sans from Undertale, Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls, and the Oncelor from the Lorax animated film.
My Beloved: A term popularized by the greater Dream SMP fandom. Involves a GIF of a heart locket with a picture of the character and the message "my beloved" in it. This term was originally used in regards to RanbooLive, a popular content creator from the Dream SMP. The GIF has been used in many other fandoms with differing contexts and messages.
Mutuals: Two blogs that follow each other. Some interact with their mutuals directly, while others never come to meet their mutuals.
Containment Breach: When something from a fandom is referenced in real life, or when a tumblr community is found by a content creator. A containment breach can also occur when a celebrity/political figure/etc. comes onto tumblr. In the MCYT community, some famous containment breaches occurred when Inthelittlewood (Martyn) and Scottsmajor joined tumblr.
Maid Protocol: The tradition of drawing MCYT content creators that join Tumblr in maid outfits. Sometimes they are also put into butler's outfits. Scottsmajor, Inthelittlewood, and Eret are popular examples of this.
