Athena was silent as she stared at the ice coffin that held Kaname, even if she did have her memories back and fully understood them? It didn’t mean that she understood where that left her feeling’s for him, she had loved him before after all. But that had been in another life hadn’t it? He had been a different person hadn’t he? She remembered the last time that she had looked at him in her last life, remembered when he had pushed her free of finishing off the remaining Purebloods.
His eyes...they had been so different, the man that she had known and fallen in love with was buried so far underneath. Even if this hadn’t been his fate and she had seen him again, would she have been able to pull him free of the pain he had endured for so long? That she had forced him to endure by taking the place that he had meant for himself in the furnace because the thought of him suffering the fate that he had ultimately ended up in practically tore her heart in two?
Finally she spoke, having heard Takuma enter well she was swirling around in her own thoughts. Well she was preoccupied with what could have been and almost futures that wold likely never happen.
“--I didn’t know the same Kaname that you did, perhaps it’s different because of that. But to me it make the world feels a bit empty knowing that he’ll never truly be in it again.”

Kayla silently laid on the floor face down and let out a groan of annoyance.
“I wanna sleep but those day class butt heads wont shut up Taku. How long do they normally keep up their screaming?”
“Nooo. Head hurts. Sun to bright, make it stop--!” Kalen practically whined, he'd give in and go to town with her though in the end. Anyone could guess that.

~🍰~ Kayla made her was out of the senate building, it was still pretty early in vampire terms--only 4PM with the sun high in the sky. There was a bit of an over cast though so it didn't really bother her to much, despite the summer weather. She hadn't necessarily asked to leave, but with her Mother there? Well...Asato Ichijou should have no trouble believing she would return. She let out a huff as she plopped down in a grassy area a little away away from the building, easily unclipping the sword at her waist in order to lay back in the grass.
She looked up at the sky for a minute with her arms on either side of her, sword handle clasped in her right hand--just encase. She closed her eyes when the brightness of the sky started hurting her eyes, only to feel the presence of another vampire a few seconds later. “If its a fight you want, I'm not in the mood. Go away.” A little rude maybe, but most vampires tended to have...issues with her because of half her genes being from a hunter line. A powerful one at that.

~🍰~ "Takuma!?" Though there was a but of a question in her voice as she yelled it wasn't because she was unsure if it was him, it was her wondering if he would live. She rushed over to him, ignoring the rest of the fighting around them. She vaguely hear her Father yelling to her to watch out before he took care of a vampire that had lunged towards her, practically collapsing right next to Takuma as his life faded. "Taku--" She tried and failed to level out her voice and she reached out her hands, gently touching his hair before she moved so that his head was in her lap.
"Its okay--you'll be okay. Ju-just hang on okay? You can do this, your strong." She knew that it was hopeless, he wouldn't survive. He was almost gone as it was, but she couldn't help it; she couldn't help denying it until he was actually gone. "You'll be okay, you can't die. I love you and I don't give you permission to die!"She barely noticed that Kaien was helping her Father in keeping the fighting away from the two of them, but she didn't care. So what if one got through? In that moment she didn't care if she was hit--didn't care if she faded away like Takuma was right in front of her.
"Please--" She pleaded desperately. It was no use though, within the next few moments he was gone. His body dissolved into dust within a few second, and Kayla brought her hands up to her face in fists holding a small bit of the dust. She covered her eyes with her fists, curling her head into her folded knees as she let out a loud strangled sob that was distorted slightly due to the way she had cured into her self.
“Just Pull It Already!” - ichijxu
~🍰~ Was this really happening? Takuma was pointing a gun at her? He wasn't one to threaten anyone who didn't deserve it, and so that immediately told her that something was wrong. But the more irrational part of her brain told her that this was something that he wanted, that no on could ever force her wait no, not her's anymore ball of sunshine to do anything like this if he didn't want to.
And so her face got red, angry tears coming to her face and she got ready to yell at him. She'd finally managed to come face to face with him after so long and this happens? How dare fate play some sick joke like this on her! "Is that what you want Takuma!? Fine then! Just do it! Just pull the trigger already!"
