Goodness, this man (fish?) is a bit shy! He’s certainly more open around those he knows well, but to get there, one must first get to know him…
This stems from his empathic abilities, as he is able to sense often “too much” about somebody at first. He’ll often put a physical space between himself and others for this reason.
Wants to get to know more people, but he is nervous about making a bad impression because he feels himself to be very awkward.
Tends to ramble on about the things he likes and can end up from one topic to a totally different one in the breadth of a single conversation. Well? Are you paying attention?
His favorite things to do are reading, playing chess, swimming of course, and studying the various artifacts of the BPRD.
He isn’t a fan of big crowds, dry places, felines of any sort, and those who are rude or lie.
His dislike of cats is a point teased by Hellboy, who will purposely bring his kitties to Abe and freak him out.
Abe knows his way around basic medical care, and has read up on various aspects of both human and creature biology! He is often the one who treats the wounds of the battlefield, though more serious ones mean he’ll go to the medbay for help.
His love for eggs is beyond just Century Eggs. He enjoys eggs of all kinds, as well as egg sandwiches too.
Not a fan of sweets because, as he’s part fish, he doesn’t have all that many taste receptors for sweet things and doesn’t find the appeal to them.
