So I was scrolling tumblr and saw a post that included the words “Logince” and “romangst” (presumably as a portmanteau of romance and angst) and since a ship can sink or sail on friction, here, have my mental word vomit
Logan and Roman having their usual back and forth as they both know that their special brand of snark towards each other can be matched by no one and no real harm is meant by it. Roman going a bit over the top with some love expression, big, public, attention grabbing, kind of the opposite of what Logan needs from the relationship. An argument happens, except Roman thinks it’s their usual back and forth and so Logan after frustratedly trying to explain why it was a big problem gives up and walks away from the issue before he says something he can’t take back.
It’s only after someone else points it out to Roman, possibly Patton but whoever, that he realises where he dun goofed so he resolves to try again, but smarter. Instead of something he would want, he arranges a quiet night in, cooking together and listening to some of Logan’s favourite podcasts with a nice bottle of wine. Maybe it’s not exactly what Logan would go for but dammit the boy be trying!
While Roman talked with others to help him work through what happened, Logan instead keeps his disgruntlement to himself and as such, when Roman approaches him to apologise and ask they try again, Logan just dismisses him and says he doesn’t wish to bother the patrons of another restaurant. There’s an argument, heated words are exchanged and after a week of this argument just not going away they decide to walk different ways, take separate paths. Essentially they break up.
Virgil calls them both idiots. Patton is heartbroken because they could make each other so happy if they would just stop arguing long enough to get along.
.....I’m quick with the angst not so speedy with the resolution. Let me know if you want this solved.
