Sleep Deprived And Overdrive

Tuesday, 11th October 2016. Cheltenham, St. Paul’s

If this is the way the week is going to go, a lack of sleep seems to be in order. My mind has been working in overdrive on ideas and solutions to problems that haven’t even really come up yet. 

I think I’m still concerned about the way we’re going to work together. I get the feeling that sometimes we’re going to cross swords, and I guess I’m worried that it could unravel our plans. I know that this could be seen as negativity, I’m once again just working on the premise that this is what happens. Realism tends to rule in these situations, and while I know we’re all wanting to get through this with the best grades possible (and perhaps a little extra dough), it’s somewhat of the elephant in the room. I get the feeling we’ve all got to discuss it and set some ground rules about how to move forward in those situations.

I’m also thinking about how I’m going to pitch my vision. It seems already that I’m going to have to do it piecemeal, one or 2 people at a time. From what I’ve been given in terms of feedback so far, there seems to be a misunderstanding that I don’t get the overall project. However, once I’ve gone through it, those who’ve heard it seem keen, knowing that it brings together alot of the groups ideas. The only negative feedback has been regarding the name, some attaching it to certain fringe genres. Maybe that’s just because of my genre affiliation, I don’t know, but I’m still using that as my project name until we’ve sorted an official name out.

Finally, at around 4am, I’m beginning to formulate what sort of team I’ll need for my collab project. I’m going to have to discuss with Jason and Lansley the pitch for it, and how it can be protected in terms of grading for that module, but still feed into Genesis Wave.

Perhaps it’s time to sleep...
