When a man interrupts a woman to explain the concept of “men interrupting and patronizing women”
So I was in my Language & Gender class and we were having a conversation about things (most) men do when talking to women. Someone mentioned how guys always feel like they need to explain things to women, even though she didn’t ask for an explanation. Then a girl then started to ask the professor a question and a guy interrupted her to explain what we were talking about, like she didn’t get it, and he just fell silent, looked down, and said “Like that....shit.”

He barged through the bathroom door, out of breath and in panic, frantically looking for a hiding spot. Using the stall would be too obvious, and he could already hear Worthington and his gang approaching from down the hall, their heavy footsteps thundering towards the bathroom. Thinking quick, Mike caught sight of the cupboards beneath the sink and he ran over, shoulder bag in his arms. He pulled the doors open and sure enough, it was an empty cubby. Throwing his messenger bag in he climbed in and hunched over, hugging his knees close as he closed the doors in time. The door to the bathroom flew open and hit the wall with the loud bang, making him jump, but he covered his mouth. One slip of noise and he'd be dead. He watched through the tiny slit at the bottom as shadows passed, hearing Johnny and his others calling his name and threatening 'to beat him to a pulp'. Mike kept quiet, and waited until they left. He stayed still, too afraid to move and listened to the water droplets from the tap hit the sink. Mike shifted slightly, and finally, the first sob escaped him and then the tears came. He couldn't remember when was the last time he cried, but he knew it was a long time ago. He buried his face in his hands, university cap tilting slightly as his body began to shake. He couldn't remember when was the last time he cried. He couldn't remember the last time he was scared.
