The Sony Vaio Flip is a laptop that transforms into a tablet by flipping the screen over 180 degrees on a hinge. If you didn’t know the hinge was there, you’d think the Flip was just a slightly odd-looking Ultrabook.
Seam
The seam along the back is the only visual clue (other than the sliding switch on the inside) that the Vaio Flip is a hybrid.
Unlocked Joint
The top joint on the hinge doesn’t lock, so it’s either facing in or out — unless you hold it in place.
Vaio Flip Trio
The Vaio Flip will come in 13-, 14- and 15-inch sizes.
Large Screen with High Resolution
The screen on the 15-inch model can be as high-res as 2,880 x 1,600.

The Vaio Flip 13 weighs just 2.6 pounds
Ports
Two USB ports, HDMI and an SD card slot are on the side of the Flip 13.
Headphone Jack
The headphone jack is on the other side.
Hybrid Offering
The Flip design is reminiscent of other PC hybrids, including the Acer Aspire R7.
