Literally I’m so sick of people posting their dumbass rants about retail workers. Like I bet some of the stories are true but from my experience alone as a retail worker I’ve learned to take it with a grain of salt.
MY FAV RETAIL MEMORY:
Its almost close and this lady comes in with her granddaughter. They get a shit ton of stuff and come up to the register.
I finish ringing them out, and tell them their total: $268
CUS: “How the hell did I just spend almost $300?”
ME: *reads back transaction with prices.* “I can take some stuff off if you’d like.” COS: “this shit is expensive. Your whole company is a rip off. Just plain stealing money. You should be ashamed of yourself. You’re a terrible person to do this.”
ME: “I can take some stuff off. Its not a problem.”
COS: “no. Give me a discount.”
ME: “ I can’t do that. The only discounts we offer is through our rewards program in your email.”
COS: “Like I said you’re just money hungry. This whole place is a rip off. And your over here shrugging and shit. I aint never coming back. I will be calling corporate and telling them about this.”
LIKE BITCH. YOU’RE THE ONE THAT SPENT 300 ON TOYS. HOW IS THAT MY FAULT? LEARN TO DO BASIC MATH OMG. AND CALL CORPORATE. THEY DONT GIVE TWO SHITS. WE WILL BE JUST FINE WITHOUT YOUR BUSINESS. BYE NOW.
