This past Monday my PhD student, Lucie Bernard, delivered a strong oral presentation of her patented work about the identification of a lung commensal bacteria strain granting protection against unwanted pulmonary inflammation associated with #tuberculosis done at Institut de Pharmacologie et de Biologie Structurale - IPBS. This presentation was well received by an audience interested in mucosal immunity during infection at The American Association of Immunologists - AAI. Lucie was calmed, poised and charming, and she surprised me with some last-minute changes to the presentation that served efficiently for didactic purposes; her responses to questions about her work were direct, respectful and well constructed.
