[ he’s sitting in silence, looking down at the guitar and then at the woman. there’s silence between the two except for a few achords and the sound of metal tip clicking against the ground as Mary watches the other, lips in a thin line and she waits for him to do something other than messing with the strings. ]
“♫ ~ Drive away, as in lonesome south. Like a real straight-shooter, three lanes full ~ ♫”
[ Waiting for his turn, she almost grew impatient, arms crossed in front of her chest. Just moments ago, the guy praised his vey own skills of playing his guitar, probably not expecting to catch the attention the criminal so easily. But truth was she liked music, liked to listen to musicians in clubs and on the street, her true self hidden inside the mortal world. At least there was one purpose worth letting the mundaenes live their life.
And then, words leaving his lips, a soft tune filling the room and the space between them. Mary tilted her head, watched his fingers moving over the instruments strings, listened as the words slipped his mouth.. Admittedly, he was good. Better than she'd expected. And for a little while, even the thug felt at ease. ]
