My entire career in technology started with the tiniest of sparks. I was not an immediate lover of computer science—it was a slow journey of knowledge and appreciation for what hardware and software can do 👩🏼💻 I’m incredibly thankful for the educational opportunities I’ve been given, from public school classes to summer programs and internships 📚 These opportunities got me to where I am today, but not everyone has that same range of possibilities. That, and the power of hands-on eduction through hackathons, is what I’ll be talking about as a speaker for IgniteSTEM, a conference to inform educators about the importance of STEM education 🔭 I’m extremely excited to share my point of view with the people who teach the new generation of scientists, authors, athletes, and visionaries! 💡 #IgniteSTEM #womenintech #ilooklikeanengineer (at Columbia University in the City of New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwqHO38BjLg/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=12us67mvezxz8
