Y'all know I don't talk much or do long posts ever so just let me do this okay I took 2017 to reflect on where I started, and where I ended up. 8 years ago I wanted to be a photographer, and started the long journey with no *actual* starting point. I went through several jobs to fund my education and my own equipment, dropping out of school, re-entering school, unsupportive ex-boyfriends, people taking advantage of my growing yet amateur skill, searching for photo groups to find my style and get professional feedback, and a horrible woman saying that at least I was "pretty" enough to get through life instead of looking at all the work I was doing -- or in the mirror at her own personal life. 2017 was the year that I finished things late, but did them great. I gained more photo clients. I graduated with my Bachelor in Fine Arts at CSULB. I got my first non-retail job that I am very grateful to have. I have a wedding of my own coming up, as well as the honor to document more weddings. I completed all of my 2017 resolutions except for one (which I will definitely complete before summer!!). So, that's it, yeah. I really have no other option except to keep moving up.
