❝ not looking back to say goodbye. ❞ LAURA HARRIER? No, that’s actually CLEO TRELAWNEY. Only TWENTY-FOUR years old, this RAVENCLAW alumni works as a OBLIVIATOR and is sided with THE NEUTRALS. SHE/THEY identifies as GENDERFLUID and is a HALFBLOOD who is known to be BLUNT, PESSIMISTIC, and LEERY but also PRAGMATIC, HONEST, and CLEVER. { MEL, TWENTY-TWO, EST/EDT, SHE/HER }
born in a small, seaside english village, cleo somewhat lived apart from the rest of the wizarding world
their mother was one of the sweetest women cleo had ever come to know; kind and generous, it seemed there was never too little that that woman could do, except in what she actually wanted; to be able to predict the future
it was a dream of their mother’s to be able to help the world with the gift the trelawneys were known to have. it was part of their family history and, what she believed, was their contribution to the world. the gift, however, rarely passed down from one generation right on to the next, and so their mother had been forced to go without. nonetheless, she trained as a nurse who sought out muggles who’d been injured caused by various wizarding conflicts which put them in the crossfires before their memories were obliviated. their mother was much of a ‘free element’ when she first started out on this particular quest before she was asked to fulfill the same duties for the ministry of magic by the minister himself
although their mother loved their child dearly, her occupation required her to travel much more than what cleo might have liked. they were left to be taken care of by their grandmother, and stayed with her permanently even when their mother returned from work. therefore, their grandmother, sybill, shaped their view on the wizarding world much more than their mother ever would
although sybill kept a rather optimistic view on things despite what she’d gone through, cleo, as she grew up, took up the resentment they felt sybill should have held and grew up rather opposite to their grandmother despite how much they loved and respected her
where sybill was airy and often seemed stuck in a world outside of reality, cleo was rather rooted to the ground they stood on and grew up to be rather pragmatic
their gifts showed themselves when they were nine years old, although sybill swore they always had an instinct for these sorts of things
their prediction was rather small and barely would have mattered much to anyone else, but was rather significant to the trelawney women
cleo couldn’t remember calling their mother in the middle of the night two days before their tenth birthday, nor did they remember the images of their mother flying into a storm and getting knocked into the river thames. their mother, however, did. cleo’s call, their mother would say to sybill, had saved her life, and soon flew back to the small english village to tell her child exactly that
cleo had known of their history with the gift, and had, to the ignorance of their mother, wished for it to pass over them like it had their mother
this knowledge changed things for cleo; it meant that they needed to be more careful, and worked hard so that, when their letter to hogwarts game, they would be ready to keep it hidden
cleo didn’t find it as difficult as they thought it would be; after all, their skepticism for most things and their harsher outlook on life tended to keep people at bay, save for the few friends who managed to push through their icy exterior
overall, although cleo experienced harsh bullying for their surname and their subsequent ‘lack’ of ability to predict the future, hogwarts was a rather quiet experience for cleo, and their memories of that experience have mostly been permeated by learning and studying and finding themselves through the chaos that was the halls of a wizarding school -- all except for those few parties cleo ended up attending, of course. those parties often ending up in cleo being wasted out of their mind, rumours of their ability to predict the future often spread soon afterwards, whether by consequence of their own big mouth or their gift manifesting itself during that particular night, cleo didn’t know
after hogwarts, cleo somewhat followed in their mother’s footsteps by training, and eventually becoming an obliviator, a task which they felt was important not especially for the wizarding world, but for the muggle world. although they’d always known they would be a wizard, they saw the job of obliviator as one that helped muggles to not encounter any cognitive dissonance at the face of magic. where some obliviators saw the job as protecting wizards from muggles, cleo saw it as protecting muggles from wizards until a proper announcement --the details of which they didn’t know-- would be made which would help bring them into the knowledge, rather than be thrust into an unfamiliar world
although cleo does understand the need for the order of the phoenix and stands by their beliefs, the damage they’ve seen done on their grandmother for her participation in her own war has left cleo wary, if not outright against joining the order
❝ He said you were gentle. The most gentle person he knew. You are not gentle. You have a ruthless heart. ❞ BENEDETTA GARGARI? No, that’s actually ARABELLA MCGONAGALL. Only NINETEEN years old, this GRYFFINDOR alumni works as an AUROR IN TRAINING/BARTENDER and is sided with THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. SHE identifies as a CIS-WOMAN and is a HALFBLOOD who is known to be CALLOUS, RUTHLESS, and STUBBORN but also BRAVE, KIND, and PATIENT.
okay here’s ara mcgoggles
really only her parents and her grandma call her arabella so she mostly just goes by ara. well, her grandma doesn’t call her that anymore, obviously, but used to. sore point!
so i kind of envision that there were three mcgonagall brothers, and ara is the daughter of andrew, the youngest of the three. ara has two older brothers as well, michael and john, but there’s a five year difference between her and michael, and john is two years older than michael, so there’s always been a bit of a gap between them.
all three of them -- and her cousins, even -- have always been very independent and self-sufficient, maybe just how they were raised, and they’re all determined to pave their own path in life. michael and john, in particular, have never been ones that desired to stay in the nest and have always wanted to explore the world around them. john ended up moving to new york two years after graduating hogwarts -- the original plan was to work there for a year or two, explore a different culture and get more work experience, but he ended up staying there permanently. fell in love, got married, and is now expecting his first kid. michael, meanwhile, is a successful wildlife photographer and spends a lot of his time traveling; likes to be out in nature and despises being rooted down in one place for too long.
the whole point of that is that she really doesn’t see them that often. during christmas time, maybe, and perhaps once or twice during the year besides that. they do write and call each other, but they’re not close. ara doesn’t really mind, though; she has other family she’s closer to, even if it’s not by blood.
DEATH TW. ara is. god. she’s so fucking furious and devastated and doesn’t even know how to process it. the family member she was always closest to was her grandma, and she loved her with her whole heart. minerva was genuinely just ara’s hero growing up, she admired everything about her and thought she was the coolest and most badass grandma ever (which she was). ig ara just never imagined someone would be able to get the upper hand over her and able to kill her? so that was just. she couldn’t really believe it at first, didn’t want to, but then there was harry and kingsley as well and she’s just. still processing and grieving, ig? but mostly she’s just angry. and she wants revenge. END DEATH TW
ara has a very... black and white view of the world? in particular when it comes to this war, she sees the order as good, and the death eaters as bad, and that’s that. she honestly could - and wants to - kill a death eater, and probably wouldn’t feel guilty over it?? i think the act itself would be... tougher and heavier than she’d expect, but she wouldn’t feel bad over it. if anything, she would see it as something done for the greater good, or the betterment of their society, and an improvement of their stance in the war. if she could, she would just chuck all the death eaters over a cliff so the rest of them can just move on with their lives without having to deal with that bs.
ara is a very patient person, which i think can be seen as both good and bad. good for the obvious reasons, especially when dealing with her friends’ more chaotic ideas lmao, but also seen as a bad thing, probably for herself? take her anger, for instance. she’s not an impulsive person, she won’t run with her anger and do something dumb she’ll regret later. but she will let it build, and she will plan a revenge out later, and that might be worse in the long run, depending on how you view it. is she a good person? idk, she would do bad things for good reasons, so make of that what you will. (that might just have made sense in my head idk)
ara is many things but forgiving she is not. i mean, she’ll forgive her friends for most things, especially smaller stuff - she loves them, and she’s fiercely loyal, after all. but someone actually betraying her? she won’t forgive or forget, she’ll just drop you immediately. bye
fulham flat means the absolute world to her. she loves them so goddamn much, she cries over them when she’s drunk fuhjsdhk
no but fulham flat are frankly the people she loves the most in her life? they’re her chosen family, and she feels so fucking blessed to have befriended them in hogwarts and that they’re her family now. she would do anything for them, including kill or die for them, and she has definitely insisted while drunk that they all agree to a blood oath not to die before her hfjshdfkl
ara is the youngest both in her immediate family but also when you count in her cousins, and also the shortest, but somehow ended up the most Mum Friend™
she just loves to take care of her friends. especially loves cooking and having family dinners in the flat gfhjs
is in fact crushing hard on james and is in fact too dumb to realise
she just assumes everyone loves james the same as she does because it’s james
she’s pretty fearless, tbh. not much shakes her? except losing a loved one, so she’ll do anything to avoid that from happening again
knew she wanted to become an auror ever since she was a kid, really. she’s a protector at heart and was always drawn to it as a career, especially after meeting her best friend’s dad (aka harry) and hearing stories from his career. it just always seemed like the natural choice to her? she was very dedicated at hogwarts to ensure that she got good enough grades to be accepted into auror training, which she thankfully was. she works part time at the leaky cauldron while in training since she has to pay her bills somehow hvjf
okay the fact that the ministry is.... in the state that it currently is in definitely puts a bit on a damper on her actually going through auror training, but she has hopes they can win this war and that it won’t be overrun by death eaters in the future bfjhdkzh
❝ You've fallen down the rabbit hole and have been chained to the other side. ❞ JAKE GYLLENHAAL? No, that’s actually DENNIS CREEVEY. Only FORTY ONE years old, this GRYFFINDOR alumni works as a HISTORY OF MAGIC PROFESSOR and is sided with THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. HE identifies as CIS MALE and is a MUGGLEBORN who is known to be ECCENTRIC, VOLUBLE, and IMPULSIVE but also WELL READ, WARM, and SINCERE. { ellie, 18, est, she/her }
hey howdy hey there, how’s it going? i’m ellie and while i’m a true slytherin at heart, i’m super duper excited to be playing my favorite gryffindor, dennis creevey. if you click right HERE you will be able to find his statistics and if you read below there’s a sort of brief backstory. if you wanna plot slide into those ims for me, otherwise i’ll be getting into starters here in a little bit.
dennis was born and raised in the typical irish household, his father was a milkman and his mother stayed at home and took up odd jobs whenever it was needed. him and his older brother watched cartoons on the tv and when they were forced to do anything else, they would play wizards and kings and knights. they would come up with extravagant stories and throw themselves into them, sometimes wishing that was their life. when they were old enough they went to school, and they brought their friends into it until the day when their stories became reality. colin was the first to find out he was a wizard, he had gotten a letter of acceptance to hogwarts on his 11th birthday and he was thriled. their family had to adjust and it took a long time to get to diagon alley to get the things on the list. not to say dennis was jealous, but he had hoped to be able to experience what his brother did.
then came dennis’ 11th birthday and just as his older brother had assured him, he would go to this magical school too. he was excited to live what he could only imagine in his dreams. but of course, things shift sort of quickly. the first year he was in hogwarts he had experienced the world at lightning speed. his first experience was falling into the lake, which he’d claim was the coolest thing to ever happen to him. and then the excitement of the triwizard tournament was in full force until it all went into turmoil. the boy who lived was attacked, people died, and voldemort was defeated. he started to realize that there was a lot more to the wizarding world than butterbeer and casting spells and he realized that being a muggleborn was something that was a fault in this world and that he was in more danger than he had been in when it was all just pretend. his second year he had been worried about coming back after the year before and the only reason he had was that he trusted his brother. of course, this year had been difficult with dolores umbridge and everything else, so a group of students called dumbledore’s army came together and dennis joined it. it had helped him feel more comfortable with the school and all around they were able to make their lives better that year. during his third year, nothing much happened. words of attacks on muggleborns and sympathizers circulated around but he didn’t experience much other than a normal school year himself. it wasn’t until the next year when he would realize that the conflicts were gonna hit closer to home when his brother was found dead during the winter holidays trying to get some last minute gifts. dennis received word within a few hours and suddenly everything was different. him and his family buried colin a few days later and at the end of the break he returned to hogwarts devastated and grieving, what else could he do? well, that’s when dennis started writing. it started as a coping mechanism for everything he was feeling and started turning into his experience of the past four years and the future he would experience with his blood status. he didn’t even realize that it’d one day be published.
after completing his education at hogwarts, dennis got a job at the daily prophet. he still doesn’t know how, but it didn’t matter. he’d move to london to start his career and he never went anywhere without a photo of his brother.
about four years into his work, he had met a muggle and the two shared the night. he tried calling her back, but he never got and contact until nine months later when he was left with two children to care for and not enough money to do it with. he had to leave the paper and got an interview with the company his father had been working for in their london branch as a smaller manager. he had lost a lot of contact with the wizarding world and he hated his work, but loved his family so he trucked on. eventually he published his first novel about his years at hogwarts.
somewhat luckily, that novel got him a letter from the then headmaster of hogwarts and somehow landed him a gig as a proffesor about the time his children got their acceptance letters and he had no idea what to do. thankfully, nobody could do worse than the ghost of cuthbert binns and he loved learning about the history of the world he’d been introduced to all those years ago.
seven years into his teaching career, his childhood idol and someone who he now respected was murdered along with two more wizards who he’d come to know. it was devastating and he had no other choice but to tell his children about the dangers they’re going to have to look out for. he started to fear for his family as memories of his experiences started flooding back and suspicions about his coworkers he didn’t quite know started to arise. it wasn’t until he got word that the order of the phoenix had risen again that his suspicions were warranted and he didn’t hesitate to join.
❝ She did not need much, wanted very little. A kind word, sincerity, fresh air, clean water, a garden, kisses, books to read, sheltering arms, a cozy bed, and to love and be loved in return. ❞

BIOGRAPHY
victoire apolline weasley - though you may know her as a number of monikers: blonde weasley, curse-breaking milf, mom friend™, whatever. she’s the eldest weasley cousin, part-veela, a mother, and yes she is a natural blonde. these are often the defining characteristics she is known by, but there’s a lot more than meets the eye.
born on may 2nd, 1997, almost two years after the fateful tri-wizard tournament where voldemort was defeated “once and for all”, she is the first child born to bill weasley and beauxbatons champion fleur delacour. the first of her generation; hers was a charmed childhood, only made more exciting by the arrival of two siblings and many cousins. seeing as she was older than most of them by a handful of years, victoire became somewhat of a “babysitter” for the family. she spent most of her formative years running after younger weasley-potters, patching up scrapes and kissing bruises as well as diffusing tense situations. from an early age she just naturally took on the role of “mom” among her social groups, the nurturing tendencies carry on even to her hogwarts years where her friends often teased her for being so overprotective of them and “babying” them.
at hogwarts she was sorted into hufflepuff - the first of her family to not be a gryffindor much to the changrin of several of her family members. while the hat had debated between the two houses, it was ultimately the pragmatic and sensible nature of the girl that lead her to being placed among the badgers. this turned out to be best suited to her traits. victoire’s easy going youth lead to her being soft and gentle but also incredibly empathetic and warm. aside from being the aforementioned “mom friend”, she was basically the poster child for hufflepuff - being dutiful, hard-working, trustworthy, loyal and fair. the one “weasley trait” that followed her was a deep love for quidditch, being a beater for the house team for a few years. but her true loves had been herbology, history of magic and charms; the girl spending most of her days studying old textbooks, hanging around the greenhouse, or learning new charms to advance her abilities.
due to a studious nature, she was usually in the favor of her professors and hadn’t found herself in detention like many of her family members might have. it was for this reason she was chosen as a prefect during her latter years, and head girl her seventh. she was responsible and organized in comparison to most of her peers, and actually took pride in being a role model. a side effect of being the oldest in her family - there were always eyes on her and victoire wanted to live up to their expectations.
following school, it was of little surprise when she announced she would be a curse-breaker in training under her father’s tutelage. she possessed much of her father’s qualities - she was an academic achiever as well as laid back in nature, while still managing to be serious when necessary. as a child she was a daddy’s girl and had a very keen interest in bill’s occupation. she used to pretend she was a curse-breaker, "disabling” curses and jinxes on teddy bears and various odd objects throughout the house. so when it came time to take her NEWT level classes, she made sure to structure her schedule around what classes would help her become a successful curse-breaker. it was a thrilling and adventure-filled career path, but her time with gringott’s would only last a few years before she opted to be an “independently contracted curse-breaker” - a choice made in order to continue the work she loved while being a single parent with full custody of her child.
before she began her apprenticeship, victoire spent the summer holiday after her seventh year in france with relatives. despite her claims she would come back “still very much the same victoire” the girl had returned from holiday a very different woman - a married one, actually. hardly one to make rash decisions, it was a shock to hear that after just four weeks of courtship victoire had married a beauxbatons alum she’d met while touring the french riviera. much of the family was opposed to the union, but victoire swore that she was happy and it was meant to be - and for a while that was true.
it turned into a tumultuous affair and would last all of four years before the ill-suited pair would inevitably call it quits - an embarrassing fact considering how adamant she had been that their love was “real” and that it would “work out just fine”. it turned out over time that the two were not exactly suitable and wanted very different things. for one, he wanted to live in france while victoire wanted to stay near her family in england. the only complication left after the marriage was a child that neither had originally planned for - a little girl named amélie whom victoire has full custody of. now her trips to france - via portkey every other weekend - are begrudgingly made in order to allow their daughter time to stay with her father, with whom she has remained (or has tried to remain) amicable and civil despite how poorly the relationship ended.
these days victoire is hardly around. contracted with many independent buyers and sellers of magical antiques and the like, the woman travels across the wizarding world in order to acquire such objects and to reverse whatever hexes have been placed on them as security measures. it’s become harder to balance this job with raising a child, and as such has made her home base in the UK in order to receive the support from her family. she was away on such trips when things began to escalate back home and has since taken on less jobs and has been spending more time in london and close to her relatives during what feels like the return of dark times.
joining the reinstated order of phoenix, victoire is at war with the impending fight. the young woman isn’t too eager to be part of another wizarding war. a little bit of a pacifist, victoire just wants to see a happy future again. having a young child, and seeing the aftereffects of her uncle’s death on his family, makes her worried to put herself in a position where she will no longer be able to take care of amelie. but she also knows that it is up to the order to put an end to the death eaters once and for all - choosing to ultimate put herself in harms way in order to make sure her daughter gets to grow in a safe and happy world like she herself did.
tbh i’ll probably be editing this as i go along.

WANTED CONNECTIONS
THE SCHOOL FRIENDS (2) - a couple fellow hogwarts alums who would have attended at the same time as victoire, they have remained close friends since leaving school and regularly meet up for drinks and to catch up and reminisce. they are hufflepuffs and have their own trio kind of like harry/ron/hermione. bonus points if one is a death eater, 1/2 taken
THE RIVAL - a fellow curse-breaker or someone from victoire’s youth who she has never seen eye to eye with. perhaps its because of opposing ideals, a dislike for the weasley-potter family or whatever petty reason - these two just don’t get along and are constantly butting heads. bonus points for being rivals in the curse-breaking field, open
THE EX - self explanatory; victoire’s ex-husband and the father of her daughter. this is not meant to be a romantic connection. they weren’t very well suited for each other and instead insist upon being civil and amiable for the sake of their daughter. is french/a beauxbatons alumni and would be newly arrived in britain should you take up this role, npc
tbh i’m really bad at these; just hmu and we can brainstorm afheahpfieaihfeiafpieafea
❝Talk is overrated, let’s just vibe.❞ KEIYNAN LONSDALE? No, that’s actually HUGO GRANGER-WEASLEY. A SIXTH YEAR student, this RAVENCLAW student is sided with MCGONAGALL’S ARMY. HE identifies as CIS-MAN and is a HALFBLOOD who is known to be DIFFIDENT, IMPETUOUS and ELUSIVE but also INDIVIDUALISTIC, INGENIOUS, and SENSITIVE. { KELLY, 20, GMT +8, SHE/HER}
Check out this messy pinterest for Hugo here and my wanted connections here!
Main inspiration: Keanu Reeves irl, tbh. Awkward, reclusive, and introverted, but widely loveable. Charming, in his own unique way. (Plus, he has dimples!)
His second name, Zain, means flower in African, from the Arabic word for flourishing in Swahili.
Hugo Granger-Weasley is The Quiet Weasley, if there has ever been such a thing. Unlike his outspoken mother, his funny father, and his vibrant sister, he is the type to be overlooked (or so he likes to believe). It’s not that he isn’t anyone important or interesting—might be far from it, really. He just doesn’t handle being under the intensity of a spotlight for too long, which was a given with being the son of renowned wizards and coming from a huge family. Honestly, he’s just thankful that he isn’t redheaded, which would scream his lineage from a mile away.
Surprisingly quick witted and brilliant, giving away his relation to Hermione. It is the silent type of genius that creeps up on an unsuspecting victim and make them think ‘woah, he actually said that?’ There’s a reason he got sorted into Ravenclaw, after all.
Also unexpectedly perceptive and sensitive. Pisces Sun Represent !! Most laidback Ravenclaw ever. He isn’t pressured to be perfect in everything, and doesn’t really want to. He does things at his own pace. He isn’t the naturally bright sort—it still takes him some considerable time to learn new stuff. But he is thirsty for knowledge.
It was honestly a close call between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
Messy, disorganized, and kinda lazy. Kinda needs someone to take care of him or he’ll be a lost cause.
Painting and drawing are his hobbies. As well as reading, of course.
Honestly a softboi minus all the red flags. The romantic poet of your dreams. Also a sadboi and can get emo at times. Has that tortured artist vibe going on. He’ll probably be the type to live in Brooklyn ‘cause he is such an art hoe. That being said, he is rarely seen without a book or a sketchpad in hand.
Bisexual af.
Loves 80s and 90s films. He is into comics as well.
Probably has a cult following, let’s be honest.
He’s only ever close to a few people ‘cause he can be shy. (Help him, please.)
He really does love his large ensemble of a family and would do simple (but admittedly endearing) gestures to show that he cares for them. Such as giving magically animated caricatures and miniature animals that remind him of a particular relative. Or sending short but poetic messages of encouragement when he finds out someone is going through a hard time.
His favorite uncle is Charlie and it is no secret. It was Charlie who got Hugo hugely interested in dragons and, by extension, other magical creatures. He has a collection of all sorts of books about dragons and fantasy stuff—all from Charlie, of course.
Very passionate about Care of Magical Creatures. Probably the only topic he has an opinion on. Want him to get seriously engaged in a conversation with you? Talk animal, ‘nuff said.
Proud member of the Art Club and Care of Magical Creatures Club.
Probably wants to be a dragonologist or a magizoologist. Or somecreature-logist.
Plot-wise, he actually believes that the means do not necessarily matter. If doing evil deeds can bring his Uncle Harry and others back, then why not? He isn’t too vocal about this belief though.
Though he may seem chill and easygoing, he also has that Granger™ temper hidden somewhere his 6’0” frame. Only ever gets triggered when someone messes with his sister. Lately though, it has been harder to reign it in with all that’s happening to Wizarding Britain and Hogwarts. (Some character development is in order? Hell, yeah.)
Ugh, why does he sound so cool? I promise that he isn’t. He is actually a really huge dork.
❝ He tore the beauty from his face, and called it terror. ❞
AVAN JOGIA? No, that’s actually KIAN GREYBACK. A SEVENTH YEAR student, this RAVENCLAW student is sided with THE DEATH EATERS. HE identifies as CISMAN and is a UNKNOWN ( WEREWOLF ) who is known to be CUNNING, TEMPERAMENTAL, and BRUTAL but also RELIABLE, ADROIT, and ADAPTABLE.
!! CHILD ABUSE TW, CHILD ABANDONMENT, KIDNAPPING TW !! The most that Kian can remember about his childhood is abandonment. Perhaps the cruelest thing to him was his parents deciding to carry him for nine months, bring him into this world and leave him for it to devour. –And devour it did. The story is that his parents just didn’t care– they had lives and he wasn’t a part of them. The most they’d done for him is stuff his pockets with a couple galleons and leave him behind in Knockturn Alley ( because who would go around asking ‘who’s kid is this’ there. )
However, he didn’t have to suffer abandonment for very long. Fenrir Greyback had an eye for those who ‘needed’ a pack and knelt down with a hand offered. It came with a price but what wouldn’t Kian give for a home– a family. Perhaps if he could go back he would have refused that offer…only perhaps.
Fenrir was a cruel man..and that was putting it mildly– but Kian wonders if he’d take his own parents over a monster of a man because at least he’d given him a home. ( Not that home meant comfort but it did, eventually, mean FAMILY. )
His ‘father’ was hard on him. He was pushed to his breaking point again and again. He was taught how to endure cruelty, how to get his vengeance, to bleed but not be weakened by it. The lessons were vicious – but in Kian’s eyes necessary. He adapted well, fought until he couldn’t catch his breath and held up his siblings when it was their turn. Even though he was scared, Kian would approach everything in control– because that’s what he was taught. His ability to look Fenrir in the eyes and say NO earned him the most hated and most favoured spot in ragtag group of his siblings. ( standing up to his father only had a punishment at the end– though it seemed as if Kian had made his own mark with his stubbornness. ) Get knocked down, you get back up and you swing. !! End TW !!
SCHOOL DAYS.
Kian was sorted into Ravenclaw. A strange house for someone who’d seem more fit for Gryffindor or Slytherin. But it came down to his cleverness and craftmanship that stuck him in with the eagles. He was smart– or rather a smartass – found unconventional solutions to problems and had a cunning way of adapting to even the worst of conditions.
He isn’t very popular with the others in his house or year– a little bit of an outcast because who doesn’t know that GREYBACK is synonym for WEREWOLF. HE tended to be a target for the upperclass peers to dig into when they were feeling bored. Though it ended with someone hexed or cursed or sporting a split lip or broken nose. But such was his life and he wasn’t too bothered by it. –As he grew older and stronger and word got back to those scaredy-cat pureblood parents that it was a Greyback throwing said spell/fist– things quickly quietened down for fear of retaliation from Fenrir. ( Not that the bastard actually cared but it’s the… thought that counts.)
HE doesn’t really spend time in clubs or extracurricular as he feels it’s a waste of time. Besides he has one band of dumbasses he doesn’t need to join any others. However, he did pick up quidditch from an early age and was quite a talented flier. His postion is naturally a beater– though he’s not fond of being led by a weasley.
His grades are above average and had once been considered for the position of prefect because of them but ultimately wasn’t offered it because of the fights he’d been involved with. smart but not friendly nor helpful enough.
OTHER STUFF.
Uhm, he doesn’t believe in all this ‘purebloods are superior’ shit. He’s just mostly here for the fight– at least that’s what he believes his ‘father’ is in it for because Merlin knows they aren’t fucking purebloods no matter how you spin it. There’s no money. No real parents. No hoity-toity clothes. No nose so far up his own ass. – IN fact i think he believes the Purebloods are a disgrace and can’t hold their own and that’s why people like him have to fight their battles. ( He doesn’t really voice this but he definitely thinks it even if it isn’t particularly true— just he’s real dumb? arrogant? idk? about this mess of a war )
He’s actually quite calm??? ( I KNOW?? WHAT?? ) He doesn’t mess with others unless he’s messed with and he tends to keep to himself. Kian isn’t out there being a social butterfly because he really doesn’t fucking care what you do or say or whatever. Life is dumb as hell, in his opinion, and he thinks dealing with his own is enough without someone elses involved. HOWEVER, if he is messed with this boy is gonna throw down. LIke he’s gonna go for the throat because that’s how he was raised. It’s either you or them there is no BOTH.
with that ^ said— he does have friends ( hallo plots ). he can be quite charming if he puts in the effort and perhaps his ‘life sucks, do what u want’ attitude tends to draw in people who may need stress relief from the war or you know normal things like last nights essay.
!! DRUGS TW, ALCOHOL TW !! Kian does smoke. Cigarettes and pot– never been one for anything harder than that. If he really wants to let go he’s out here for a couple rounds of firewhiskey. This is probably to the best way to see his true personality. !! END TW !!
Loyalty is important to him ( though he isn’t past using it as a toss-around word for the DEs because he just really doesnt give a single fuck about them ). His lays with his siblings– though not biological he is very protective of his sisters but not enough to stand in the way of danger for them ( unless lethal. he will definitely step in ) After all they should know how to survive by now ANYWAYS. ( okay he does step in more often than that ;) a pack is a pack. )
There is some light at the end of the tunnel with him. He is quite funny when he wants to be– he can have a laugh and smile ( no, i mean an actual smile ) but it seems to be reserved for those he can trust and let down that massive guard he has up.
MORE RANDOM THINGS.
Probably would love baseball in the muggle world.
The name Kian was given to him due to that being the first word he spoke to Greyback. ( OR at least that’s what Fenrir believes he said ). Kian would be the name his father had and somehow it had stuck in his mind. ‘Why are you out here all alone?’ ‘Kian.’ SOOOOOOO he has no idea that’s his real father’s name….but yeno I guess you do get some things from your parents ha.
He doesn’t really remember anything about his birth parents. He only remembers Greyback. Greyback is gross and likes to hold things over your head so -- his parents leaving him is something that is usually brought up in order to take kian down a notch-- though it doesnt work how Greyback anticipates.
Doesn’t really have an opinion on being a werewolf other than it’s time consuming and therefor irritating to deal with. Pain is pain. Its an inconvience he wishes he could cure but not one that he’s willing to do whatever it takes to cure it, if u get me.
His favorite food is probably something dumb like mashed potatoes with gravy or roasted chicken with cous cous. – Favorite drink would be something equally simple like apple juice. Basically the palate of a two year old. Meaning he’s also here for things like lollies and popcicles, general summer time sweet treats. Not much for hot drinks like coffee or tea tho..go figure.
He has SEVERAL tattoos…..and none of them really mean anything? They are mostly just a series of lines/designs/patterns that he doodles on his parchments and, you know, since Papa Greyback don’t care about anything except himself this boy’s been getting them since summer before sixth year.
Tends to favour clothes that are flowy or breezy. Oranges and reds…blacks and whites mostly when outside of uniform. Doesn’t mind tighter jeans but the shirts gotta be flowy.
He cuts his hair every so often. Like real short then lets it grow out…currently like mid-length and usually pulled up out of his face either in a pony or half-up-half-down.
PRetty damn good at wizard’s chess ( eat your heart out ron weasley! ) and most anything that requires quick-strategy. He’s pretty good at figuring out the other’s intention which leads to a win.
He does draw– not anything too complicated but enough to know he has a mediocre talent in it? ( ie. his tattoos/doodles. )
His favorite classes are probably transfig, charms and probably astronomy. Most hated is herbology, comc, divinations and History or studies of anything.
UMM VERY UNSURE of what he’s gonna do when he graduates?? He doesn’t really have a certain goal for right now but….hopefully he can figure it out before the end of the semester tbh.
WANTED CONNECTIONS.
Best Friends. I SAID IT!!! i know i mentioned lone wolf but listen-- he needs a bestie or two to fuck things up with or at least someone to treat him like he isn’t just, yeno, a wolf.
‘Bullies’. This tech could be any blood status but i think, particularly, purebloods would be fun for this. basically when they were younger they picked at him for assorted reasons and eventually told to leave him alone by his parents because of Fenrir Greyback. Probably holds resentment to him because of that. also probably still takes abs at him. --kian being on the edge of chilling and ready to throw a curse at you, some could be fun enemies and/or frenemies at this point.
Hookups. basically fun hookups, angsty hookups, any genders. there isn’t a particular reason just that he likes to hookup -- this is probably something that is just physical. he’s not emotionally available and most likely doesn’t know how to be.
That ONE Person. you know that quote? ‘When is a monster not a monster? oh when you love it.’ I think it’d be nice to have someone that treats him softly-- on equal grounds. Like not scared of him or not here to make fun of him but to be gentle towards him. LIKE YOU KNOW the ones taht are saying ‘well your feelings are important. you are important. you aren’t trash’ ( even tho he is trash sometimes lmao )
Qudditch Buddies. Kian is usually abrassive but when it comes to this sport he is probably the only one in the school with good sportsmanship. he doesn’t care if they win or lose ( he still plays well though he’s not lazyyyy ) he’s just there to have a good time!! I think that’d make him quite likable on the pitch-- probably, as funny as this sounds, a breath of fresh air.

BEFORE
TW MISCARRIAGE
george weasley, entrepreneur legendary, and angelina weasley, quidditch superstar, turned wales national team trainer. the couple was a shining example of success and happiness, and that only grew at the news that they’d soon have their first child. correction, CHILDREN. they might have been a bit late to some of their relatives, who already had a few toddlers, but they would bring weasley twins into the world, so the terrifying chaos coming up would make up for it. fred and george, they’d decided to call them, in honour of the most recent set of twins in the family. however, things didn’t exactly go according to plan, and just a few days after discovering that they were carrying twin boys, one didn’t make it.
a feeling of grief consumed the family. suddenly, angelina was at risk, as was the surviving fetus, but they let nothing but optimism into their loving house. frederick llyr weasley ii was born strong and loud, and into the arms of those who had far too much love to give, pouring it all onto that one baby. he joined a few other babies in the family, already vast in size but growing by the day. grandma molly made him a blanket, angelina’s father brought him a toy broom he had no use for, family dinners came and went as he thrived filled with joy and laughter. a few years later, after recovering from the shock of the dangerous pregnancy, roxanne was born, and little fred threw himself into the role of older brother, attempting to help out as much as their parents would allow - even if it was to simply hold her hand for a while.
as a way to connect them to the muggle part of their heritage, angelina made sure her children got as much of a non-magical education as they could before they headed off to hogwarts. with two hard-working parents, it was also the most practical solution. thus, fred’s days were constant tastes of both sides, and that was simply his reality: in the morning he’d be walked to school, just a few streets away. they’d play and learn the alphabet and talk about their favourite cartoons. in the afternoon he’d sit with grandpa arthur, who seemed to ask lots of questions about rather normal things, or he’d “help” dad and uncle fred at the store, which mostly meant passing coins from customers to the cashier (a rather important task). george and angelina worried about the potential signs of magic fred should one day show, and how they might ostracize him, but they soon learned they had little to fear.
when fred was still rather young, his family showed concern about his lack of complex speech, which soon developed into a very clear stammer. caring as they were, the couple tried all methods, magical and muggle, to help their young son - after lots of trial and error, they settled on a london speech therapist, who stuck by fred for most of his early life in constant sessions. the little kids who copied his stuttering with mockery in the playground soon became a foggy memory and at age twelve he had his very last session. his speech was fluent. “cured”, he’d thought.
fred took a little longer to begin showing clear signs of magic. long enough to bring around some speculation of him being a squib, but it turned out that his magic, regardless of his lack of control or the height of his emotions, was simply subtle - flowers bloomed a little more, a mirror fogged up, a loose thread on a shirt for pulled a few more centimeters. besides, most emotional reactions, which lead magical children to show uncontrollable magic, were conveyed through his stammer. if fred was nervous or angry, it intensified, or his voice was simply blocked. it took close attention for anyone to notice all of this, and his subtle works of magic, and to this day that is how it works for fred. his spells are subtle, almost dimmed. he has an eye for the small touches and delicate work, but can’t make a single thing explode.
then, it came the time to pick a side. there wasn’t much choice, given how it’d always been expected that the year he turned eleven, fred would move to hogwarts and leave the muggle world behind, so he didn’t say a word. however, there was real anguish in saying goodbye to his school friends and realising that the following year there’d be no way back. he was a wizard, who’d lead a wizard’s life. he BELONGED somewhere else. doing what was expected of him, the boy said a tearful goodbye to his parents, after confessing once again his fear of living away from them; held his little sister for as long as possible; put a smile on when uncle fred tried to cheer him up and took his cousin victoire’s hand, joining her in the whole new era.
HOGWARTS
GRYFFINDOR ! fred had no preferences, so he was silent as the hat pondered for a few seconds. at first, the decision made sense - his family had a longstanding reputation in the roaring house, so why not? the doubts took a few months to hit him. shy and simple, his housemates at times overwhelmed him, but a true sense of displacement came after winter break. he’d returned home, to his family and his house, and to his muggle friends. his routine went back to normal and january was too harsh of a reality check - on the second day back, he drafted a letter to his mother, asking her to let him go home. but he never sent it. instead, he made the best he could with the little tools he had. fred made few but intense friendships, mostly with kids from other houses. he accepted the narrative that he was not brave, or noble, or the hero type, but instead a gryffindor legacy and thus placed in the high expectations house. he focused on his grades, his dream job changing from doctor to healer - sleepless nights and migraines to achieve the one goal he had in mind, even if he’d stopped feeling the pull towards it by third year.
fred was a responsible young man, with a bright future in front of him. he was driven and hardworking. he was cracking under the self-imposed pressure every single day.
from the very start, fred’s relationship with his magic was complicated. he enjoyed it, surely, and was able to perform it, but his biggest aptitude was for the theory of it all. essays, understanding the mechanics, homework. at times, it felt like not much about him would have been different, had fred stayed in the muggle world. sometimes, he even revisited that thought of leaving it all behind - but he never did. after all, he was a driven young man, he couldn’t QUIT.
PRESENT
graduated with the soul-crushing requirements for healer training, fred had a ten year plan drawn and step one was taken care of. it was beyond competitive, everyone trying to climb higher, get the best shot - a shock to his system. fred would fall asleep over books, the work consuming him even at home, and yet it wasn’t enough. ‘your heart isn’t in it’ an older healer said to him once, after yet another failure, but it made no sense. on paper, he was the perfect candidate: kind, caring, smart, very good grades, lots of drive to learn and ambition. hands on? he froze, he had no time to erase his mistakes and write over them, anything but perfection consumed him, corroding.
he was deteriorating under the pressure, and for once he wasn’t the only person holding him accountable - his patients, the other healers. one year finished, a celebration at home, little fred was one year closer to becoming the next great healer! the following day he didn’t come straight home after the hospital, but rather to the shop, sitting in his father’s office until chance dictated he’d walk in. george weasley understood quitting to follow a bigger passion, he knew, but what would happen if fred didn’t have one? what was he quitting for? the imagined disappointment consumed him even as his father held him close, a crying mess begging for help.
fred had hit a breaking point and for once he made it glaringly obvious. fred, the quitter. fred, the lost. fred, with no plan and no future. fred, surrounded by a kind family, giving him space and time to figure out the next steps.
after a few weeks, he decided to go help out at his father’s store, somewhere known and temporary where he could feel useful and a little less lost. however, it didn’t last for long - after some search and the help of a few connections, fred was assured a job in the ministry, something a bit more lonely and calm - perhaps he’d follow a career like his grandfather arthur’s? or perhaps it’d be temporary too. fred had decided to give himself a gap year of no plans, no overarching ambitions. the little desk in a corner of the portkey office was his, nameplate and all. it was work he could leave there, over that small table, never in his heart and mind at home, and there were no real life-or-death stakes to it. all the learning was mostly optional, driven by his own ambition and curiosity, and a few months in he was doing some shifts on the neighbouring office as well, giving some apparition classes at hogwarts.
then everything changed. just as he was settling and life was gaining some balance, just as he’d at last left his parent’s house and began envisioning what the rest of his life might look like, news shook the world and brought him to his knees. uncle harry was DEAD. the minister and headmistress as well. pillars of the world and his life were gone, his uncle making his heart bleed especially. it wasn’t a coincidence, and they all knew it. a week later, loved ones restituted a group he’d only ever heard stories of, and there were no questions in his mind. fred worked deep within the enemies’ den, and he had access to information and skills that could prove useful, so why stay idle? every semblance of a plan he’d been drafting was done with the old world, so it was time to start anew.
bravery can come in subtle ways. it doesn’t need to be a showy explosion of dauntlessness, but rather a willingness to remain somewhere terrifying, and to give name, body and soul to something worthwhile. fred sees it now, at times. his search for an overarching goal in life is on hold for now, because he has found one, the order of the phoenix and the USEFUL work he can do for it. fred has been working out logistics. his role is very much behind the scenes, and he feels the weight of that responsibility in his bones every single day: one mishap from him, and an entire operation could crumble from within. one misstep and he’s caught, using his little forgotten department of the ministry to move around people and objects under the radar, erasing records when needed, reworking portkeys and bringing the soldiers on his side to where they need to be, helping victims leave towards safety. the floo network is his ongoing project, much harder to hack into then the rest, much farther from his expertise - his goal is to create an entire underground network within it, separated from the rest and away from any record keeping. his mission for the next few months? be accepted for another year of apparition training at hogwarts, to be one of the connections between the school and the the outside world for a few weeks.
the last few months have been an internal mess, but fred’s sticking through. his stammer has in great part returned, especially during moments of stress, which he’s been constantly under. his all-nighters have a greater purpose now, full of heart, but they still take a toll on him. his role in the world is a hidden one for now, and he fears that simply isn’t enough, that HE isn’t enough and that his impact isn’t as far-reaching as he wishes it’d be. fred wants to measure up, but that simple goal requires too much of him, and he can’t stop himself from giving and giving, until he has very little of himself left. his laughter has grown sharper and shorter, like a cough. his eyes are tired, his bones are heavy, he’s quieter. and there’s so much to walk still.
EXTRA HEADCANONS
fred was always a big fan of video games, ever since he was a tiny kid. he’s not even a brilliant gamer or what not but he’s a big nerd. does he have a rather large corner of his bedroom dedicated only to video games? yes. does he spend most of his paycheck into new games and better computers and shit? yes. do i hate it? def
“tell the truth and then run” is the most fred thing i’ve ever read. his bravery comes out in subtle ways, or in angry bursts that he immediately regrets. he usually doesn’t do much FIELD work for the order, rather backstage stuff, but sometimes he jumps in, especially if they’re handling big transportations and portkeys, and you bet he throws a curse and then just RUNS. yells for backup and RUNS the fuck away. martyr complexes and being the big best hero is not his thing.
uncle fred is one of his favourite people ever and i’ll fight everyone on this, brign fred you cowards
he literally only wears sweaters and t-shirts with a basic comfy jacket over. formal wear? fake. his office is all robes and professional shirts, and then there’s fred in the desk in the corner.
he’s a big cynical? fred can get very annoying
legit loves the muggle world. it’s where he feels the most at home.
there’s this big fear of fucking up within him, and not so much fuck up in the eyes of others, but nto live up to his own stupid high standards. he wants a bigger role in things, a bigger purpose, a better job, more friends, make an impact? he wants to never fade away, especially in the middle of such a BIG family with so many accomplishments amongst them. so fred tries to trick his mind, insist that he isn’t afraid to fail, that he’s fine with quitting healer training and with where he is right now, which is a big lie. his wand’s wood, black walnut, doesn’t do great with lying to oneself - so on top of his subtle magic, it’s also just purely glitching, mimicking his internal confusion oops
nothing makes fred happier than showing muggle technology to grandpa arthur
started wearing glasses when he was ten and is a danger to himself and others without them
was prefect during 6th year and headboy in 7th
never did anythign quidditch related but learned to fly and play very young, obviously. follows all the professional games religiously but not with intense passion, more a need to stay informed
a VERY easy crier who replies to all of his own tears with ‘such nonsense’ :/

❝ Mudblood, and proud of it! ❞ VIOLA DAVIS? No, that’s actually HERMIONE GRANGER. Only FORTY-FIVE years old, this GRYFFINDOR alumni works as a DEPUTY HEAD in the DEPARTMENT OF MAGICAL LAW ENFORCEMENT and is sided with THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. SHE identifies as a CIS-WOMAN and is a MUGGLEBORN who is known to be TACTLESS, PERFECTIONISTIC, and ANGRY but also HONEST, FOCUSED, and PASSIONATE.
death and grief tw for later on (marked in the bullet points)
Hermion Granger had what should have been a very ordinary childhood - the daughter of two dentists, she had expectations placed on her from the beginning, and she was well on her way to fulfilling them. She hit all the major childhood growth milestones a little bit early and was reading well before most of her peers. The only thing that threatened her peaceful childhood was the occasional odd thing that her parents saw - and the far more frequent odd happening that they didn’t see. Books flying to her hand with just a thought, toys stacking themselves neatly in the bin, the bed that made itself. The visitor on her eleventh birthday, a Professor McGonagall, made sense of all that, and nearly a year later, she found herself on her way to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Hogwarts, up until her fourth year, was a series of ups and downs: no friends, then two very good friends; wild adventures at the end of every year; terror and excitement in equal part. And then the Tri-Wizard tournament came and everything . . . calmed. Her remaining years at Hogwarts went by quietly and she took top marks in everything for both OWLs and NEWTS.
Then she planned to take the Ministry by storm. Hermione had seen a lot that needed to change and she knew she was the one to initiate the change. She started in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and was instrumental in improving life for various magical creatures like house elves and centaurs. From there, her attention turned to the blood purity issue and the change she could make from the inside, so she moved to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement where she worked on abolishing the legislation that favored purebloods. It was a challenge, to be sure, but Hermione had always loved a challenge.
Loving challenges was, perhaps, one of the reasons she fell in love with Ron Weasley (other reasons being: his loyalty, his goodness, his sense of humor [something she herself was . . . lacking], his care for others, his stubbornness, and many, many other things). It was certainly not an easy relationship, in that they had always bickered and that didn’t change. But it was all worth it; she loved Ron more than she had ever imagined loving another person - until the children came along, and Hermione realized that she would do anything for them.
Rose might not have been hers by birth, but she was Hermione’s in all the ways that mattered. And if Hermione was a little overenthusiastic when it came to her firstborn, all of it came from a place of love. She wanted Rose to have the things she herself hadn’t had - a large, loving family (the Grangers were a loving family, of course, but not a big one), the knowledge of who she was and why (Hermione’s insecurities had been dealt with over the years but she could never forget being nine, ten, eleven and not understanding herself and not having friends). So she might have pushed Rose and molded her but it was only ever meant to help her daughter. And if she sometimes looks at Rose now and feels a wave of guilt . . . well, she deals with that as much as she can as well. Because in the end, she loves her daughter with her whole heart and that’s the important thing.
Then there’s Hugo and Hermione loves him so much too. (But since he isn’t currently in play, there’s less to say about him. For now.)
Side note: Hermione kept her surname because of course she did. She accomplished a lot before she married Ron Weasley and she would not let anyone forget it, or downplay it. And as a Muggleborn, it was very important to her that her surname was recognized by the wixen community. Not just the pureblood name that, while disgraced, was still pureblood.
Really she thought everything was going great. There were unsettling whispers of course, but when weren’t there unsettling whispers? Nothing to worry about.
And then everything changed.
death tw// Halloween night, 2023 is possibly the worst night in Hermione’s memory (although others might top it, or at least tie with it: the funeral; the first night she went to bed realizing she’d wake up without one-third of her heart [she loves Harry as much as she loves Ron, in a very different way]; the night she realized her children were miles and miles away and she couldn’t do anything to help them). She went to sleep with two best friends and woke up with one. All the whispers that she had spent so many days, weeks, months ignoring? They were too real and she was a fool and now she - and everyone important to her - were paying the price. And it wasn’t just Harry. But Kingsley Shacklebolt? Minerva McGonagall? They were two giants of her life. Hermione had always thought of them as immortal. //end death tw
grief tw// Things change after that. Hermione knows about dealing with grief; she has researched it (because she likes to research everything) and she knows about the stages of grief, that grief isn’t a linear progression, that she needs to be open and willing to deal with her emotions. But she doesn’t have time for that. She gets locked into anger and stays there - not . . . happily, exactly. But in contentment. Because it’s easier to be angry than sad. Sad won’t help her to continue to effect change in the government - change that she knows will be much harder than before, because clearly if the Death Eaters have organized enough to . . . accomplish what they did, then they are very well organized inded and have to have some place in the Ministry. Hermione acknowledges the danger she’s in but she’s a Gryffindor. She can’t back down from a fight.
Which is why she makes sure that Ron, Ginny, Neville, and Luna understand the importance of starting the Order again. They have to be ready for the Death Eaters
She does consider a change in office, from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement to the Department of Education. With her children, nearly countless nieces and nephews, and so many children of her friends still at Hogwarts, Hermione doesn’t trust anyone in the Ministry to take care of them. But neither does she want to step out of her current position, where she knows she can do some good. She’s been eyeing the surnames of a lot of the people in charge and it makes her nervous. So for now, she’s staying put and trying to keep her head down to the degree that she can while still protecting those around her. (Which did not go very well, if you look at the registry, but she’s trying.)
