daisymades liked for a starter!
with little time and effort to partake in anything that didn’t involve lounging around on the bleachers with a spliff in his hand, and attracting various dirty looks from teachers with a flash of his smile, lunch breaks were always a bore. in fact, everything associated with school was more commonly mistaken for torture rather than anything. drained mumbles were shared throughout his group of ( ---- friends? ) acquaintances, and overly loud cackles enough to echo. they’d point and laugh; and it wasn’t until richard looked up, he seemed to pay attention.
a familiar face stood out in-between the clique of cheerleaders, causing a look of amusement to easily strike upon worn features as his eyes managed to wander. when the other girls departed, he stood up and moved forward; slumping down over the seat behind her, arms folded on the barrier with his head nestled against them, a characteristic smirk tugging his lips upward.
❛ so---- cheerleadin’ now, huh? y’know, i gotta say... never really took y’ for the type. ❜
