🥭  :    how important to my muse is their hometown,  or where they’re from?  are they proud of it,  or considered a hometown hero?  did they move away,  or do they wish to?

honestly? cloud’s only true connections to his hometown were his mother and tifa; those were the only things he had going for him at home and the only people he found comfort with at home. nothing else about it was particularly special to him, and he moved away as soon as he was able to.

🍇  :    how would my muse describe their childhood?  how much has it impacted the person they are now,  or will become as an adult?  around what age did they or will they start to mature,  and why?  do they wish to go back to their days as a child,  or have they embraced adulthood?  

cloud doesn’t actually like to talk much about his childhood. it wasn’t great. he didn’t care for it, and he’d like to leave it behind him where it belongs. it did, of course, have an impact on how he went into adulthood, though. cloud grew up with so little friends and acceptance that it makes him acutely afraid of losing people he cares about and being alone ( despite the fact that he’s prone to isolating himself to protect himself from the possibility the pain that will come with losing those loved ones ), and it left him with an insatiable need to be stronger, to prove himself; and because of that he’s afraid of failing to be strong enough, afraid of feeling  weak.  it’s the main reason he wanted to make SOLDIER in the first place.
