I don't really think it's his fault, actors have to promote the show and since SWW's are rather...vocal it makes sense he wants to appease them.
I both agree and disagree with this.
While I agree that there are certain things that need done to promote your show, Brett takes it too far. He excuses the disgusting actions of his character, actually tries to insist that his character is a sort of anti-hero, and is consistently rooting for a ship that clearly makes his co-star uncomfortable and is disgustingly unhealthy.
There are ways to appease your fanbase, no matter how gross they are, without turning into a gross person yourself. And Brett hasn’t seemed to have figured that out yet.
