A Curiosity in Crimson

It was an idle night for Vladimir as he sipped away at a warm tea provided to him by a shop he had grown quite fond of over the course of his stay in Ionia. It served as the perfect way to end his days of ceaseless exploration, watching the sun set over an array of beautifully coloured mountains, forestry, and elaborate architecture. Still it troubled him, knowing that aside from himself, the only Noxians left in Ionia were either cowards or turncoats, no doubt hiding somewhere or even making peace with their would-be adversaries.

Noxus’ control of the Navori province had been all but broken by the locals’ rather violent example of their cherished ‘harmony’, and such an egregious defeat left the Crimson Reaper exasperated over the apparent ineptitude of his countrymen when it came to matters of conquest. Were he to lead them, he thought, he was positive that the battle would’ve gone far differently.

But in the end, such concerns were beneath Vladimir. Fighting on the frontlines was a task better suited to his inferiors, and he’d prefer not to sully his hands unnecessarily. He had far more pressing matters to devote himself to anyway.

Like enjoying his tea.

That’s when a young stranger arrived to this humble little shop in western Ionia. Her physical characteristics painted her as a foreigner like himself, and by her casual manner of dress and marked lack of hextech contraptions, he inferred that she was probably from somewhere near central Valoran. Vladimir was dressed rather casually as well—at least by his own standards—and lacked most of his usual ostentation, though deep crimson colour remained a prominent element of his ensemble. 

Having given it an appropriate amount of thought earlier, he realized that he had little reason to be concerned over being found, as his absence from the invasion meant that he would be unrecognizable to Ionia’s populace as anything other than a stranger.

His unnatural gaze lowered itself onto the fellow foreigner as she approached the tea sommelier, a welcoming smile curling the corners of his lips from behind the edge of his cup. He waited for her to finish her order before addressing her.

“You’re not from around here, are you, ma’am?”

Hmm… Starters

     awesome, his posture was unequivocally not the coolest of all in front of this woman. how did he end up laying on a dirty, cold surface of the earth? recapping back to what he did earlier, it all began from a misbehaving street cat that stole his coin pouch, scurried away from him after. not cool cat, not a good idea. inevitably the explorer gave chase to retrieve his own property, climbing up after the cat to one of the tree’s branches. ‘chasing after a thieving cat, falling down from a tree branch that snapped-’ he’d have seen it coming should he be more attentive. cats... why did it have to be cat...?

     fixated his gaze on her, the blonde girl looked alluring under the bright sunlight yet... they had to meet in such a pitiful scenario coming from his side. how regrettable. ezreal, you shouldn’t let your emotion got better of you! the number of regrettable thoughts increased.  ‘i-it was... due to the negligence to my own safety... i suppose?’ and stuttering speech wasn’t the best impression given for the first time. at least he tried to smile, hopefully not silly looking to her.

I would say Yes, can be cute.

Canon Lux has some similarities with him, I would say – it also includes a strong family bond. And both hid something for very long; she hid her powers and he now hides his true self behind this numb mask he bears. 

Even when it involves a non-canon Lux or, for example, in an AU – I think someone with Lux personality might actually be what he needs.
