[Black + White: Day 39]: Prepare to say goodbye to 2020 -------- 2020 had been a year. Quite a lot of ups and downs (election...COVID...HK...list goes on and on). Took a while to finally settle with a short-term goal and really sit down to work on it. Sorting old photos into albums, reading, learning new things, and to walk hand in hand with someone who is willing to journey with me. Caught up with old friends and write letters and have long chats. I really appreciate that some friends keep the same e-mail address. Come to think, if it were the old days, the moment you move to a new house (or they moving to a new place), it could also mean that you lost touch with an old friend as well. Second half of the year was much more productive. I think I still must thank Andres for this. I still think that conversation we had definitely got the wheels turning again. While I was sorting my old illustrations from Otago Uni and EGGS, it somehow pieced me back. I had always loved illustration and had been doing some from time to time, or when ever I had a moment to spare after work and school. Part of me wanna to pursue this dream but it was never strong enough to push it further. I guess sometimes being raised under different cultures makes me unique, but at the same time old traditional values holds me back. Which ever that is, I have decided to sprint in full speed and just give it a go. May 2021 be a great year and may there are more love and peace in this world. Rock on.
