I assumed you might like to talk about your 1920s gardeners, which is why I asked the WIPs question :-)

GUH I WANT TO BITE IT.
That's the spirit! Focus on the throat biting, and all worries will fade. Also, imagine him being that age when he joined up in your 20th gardeners AU. All fresh-faced and idealistic and unscarred.
Does this cheer you up a bit, illustrate-her? The young Tom Burke and his lovely, exposed throat?
So I just had to share the newest addition to my Motivational Musketeers Window Frame - illustrate-her's hoover-wielding Porthos, because really, who wouldn't draw inspiration from that when needing To Essay. And then I realized I had never asked agarthanguide if I could share the motivational Sexy Adorableness that she made for me several months ago, and decided that needed to be rectified. Adapt and adopt as desired, kids. *G*

I know, he is a a bit of a shit to her - making her feel so bad about how little money she can give him. And yes, he must be extremely good in bed!
I think we can all agree on the 'good in bed'. Quite possibly aided by a massive cock. These are indisputable facts.

In Twenty Years After I kind of assumed that Porthos spoke quite genuinely about his sadness when his wife (the procurator’s wife) passed away. But maybe I just made that up.
I don't think you made that up :-) But in The Three Musketeers, Porthos makes her jealous by ogling another woman (who happens to be Milady), has dinner at her house with her and her husband (pretending to be her cousin), asks her to steal her husband's money, walks off in a huff when she refuses, and when she eventually does buy his horse and equipment, he's outraged, because they're not expensive and good enough. He must be extremely good in bed to get away with such behaviour.

I’m so glad you liked The Dying of the Light and that it stayed with you!
Considering how I went on in the comments about it, you probably already guessed that I liked it :-)
1, 3, 14!
1 What do you regularly do before bed?
Check my email and then mute my phone. Exciting!
3 If given the opportunity, where would you time travel and who would you bring with you on the adventure knowing that you're not going to alter anything in the present?
This is a genuinely good question. Certainly the past, I'm not interested in seeing the future. I'd love to see if the Middle Ages or the Victorian Age were anything like we imagine them, but I can't pinpoint any specific date in either. So I'm gonna say Eastern Europe shortly before the First World War. Scary, yet fascinating. I'd probably bring a friend who speaks Russian. Or perhaps a very tall and imposing man, who'd protect me on my adventures. A tall Russian would be ideal.
14 What was a constant thought that passed your mind today?
"I have to finish that bloody chapter today, I have to!" And I did!
