I’m starting to build a nice collection of books connected to the River Severn. This one was published in 1967 and if I’m honest, the main reason I bought it was for the cover, which shows two figures carrying their coracles towards the river. Limited colour and strong graphic shapes, always a winner for me! Some pictures taken a few weeks ago during a quick stop at Lydney Harbour on the River Severn. I grew up just down the road from here and knew very little about it. Massive gates protect the eclectic mix of boats from the river which at this point is vast.
