The Illustris indoor Maypole
For Illustris’ Ostara ritual, we crafted a working for balance. Everyone made an offering or release as well as manifesting or receiving. That way energy was exchanged in both directions. We did a round of inner work and outer work, and people did whichever felt right first, or did both together.
People brought their own items to symbolize balance, and we also handed out tiny bags of black and white orca beans.
Yes, we do ritual with magick beans.
The next Illustris Salon is on Saturday March 11 from 12:30pm to 2pm and we’re going to be discussing daily magickal practices.
We’ll talk about daily practice and the quick and dirty spellwork people use in their everyday lives. Come and share your questions and experiences, whatever your background or experience level. If you don’t have a daily magickal practice but wish you did, please come!
Our discussion and examples will include different traditions and will be as non-denominational as possible. Our salons are discussion-based with workshop-practice availability rather than lectures, so what we go over depends entirely on our participants interests. Please join us!
Cost of admission is free. Our salon location is at Edge of the Circle Books, in Seattle’s University District, 1307 NE 45th St, Seattle, WA 98105. Public transit and public parking available.

We had mixed sun and clouds for the Illustris ritual at Concentric Circles, on the lawn at the Roundhouse, and the smell of a nearby fire and all the herbs was just fabulous.
We did an herbal bar for spiritual nourishment and everyone got to make their own custom blend and take it home in a quarter-ounce jar.

Illustris presents on Saturday at Oloteas' Concentric Circles in Redmond, WA. If you want to check out a spectrum of Puget Sound Pagan groups, this is the local thing other than Pagan Pride in the fall. The above weather buffet ahead of the weekend is why we are borrowing an Easy-Up from my folks. Just in case, because we definitely know we're presenting outside.
