Q: "Why are so many Black Women SEXLESS or unfulfilled in their sex lives?"
A: I think the root of the issue lies in the fact that the majority of Black women do not even KNOW the true purpose/benefits of having a HEALTHY sex life. Most were not taught the TRUE joy and bliss of sex. Most were just taught (either thru EXPERIENCE or hearsay) the mechanics and animalistic perspective of the action. (I.e. just how to fuck and make a baby). What I mean is, if you go the majority of your life thinking sex is either 1) A SIN w/o marriage. ((Then you have a whole lot of DEPRESSED, REPRESSED, BITTER ass women who feel GUILTY when they DO have sex OR who DEPRIVE themselves of orgasmic bliss cause of RELIGION and FALSE teachings)). 2) Most have been taught its only real purpose is to pro-create a child INSTEAD of LEARNING all the ways we can CO-CREATE and MANIFEST SOOOO many things thru the ART of sexuality.
Look at the cultures that do not endorse this American/Christian perspective on sex, the women ARE having sex and lots of it! And yet...who has the highest rates of STDS, INFERTILITY, Womb Issues, & Non-Orgasmic women???...AMERICA. ((over 75% of women in the US are having sex w/o ORGASMS)) Why? Cause we are programmed as a whole (forget just Black Women, MOST women in the US) to HATE (subconsciously) the very thing that makes us the MAGNETIZING forces that we truly are!
Our sexuality is our way to connect with our partner(s) AND SELF (Play with your yoni ladies! :) in ways that we cannot in regular everyday interaction. Thru that connection, when truly UNDERSTOOD and STUDIED...we can individually and collectively do alot of things! IMAGINE a society of women who were having ORGASMS REGULARLY!! ((That would eliminate half of the disgruntled, mean ass customer service reps and angry baby mamas walking around here #imJustSayin))
Just like anything else in life though, if a person does not STUDY and SEEK understanding, they will remain ignorant and enslaved to someone elses's perspective of what is truth. Forget Zane books, when is the last time most have STUDIED the ancient teachings and books (that have been on this planet for thousands of years) here to REMIND us of the power we hold right between our legs?
WE must hold WE accountable. Is it a man's job to make me feel confident, whole, sexy, orgasmic etc? OR is it MY responsibility as a very assertive Black woman to RECLAIM my femininity and know that I DESERVE a life full of absolute BLISS?? I have to claim the later. After spending many years being one of the women we speak of..I made a choice to KNOW me more and LOVE me more (cause with out knowledge of self, how can I LOVE self?) and THEN I REMOVED the blockages that were keeping me from being sexually free and open to LOVE in ALL of its forms tangible and intangible. I will not blame anyone for US at this point cause WE have the power to BE the change we all seek. NO ONE can stop you from READING. No one can stop you from APPLYING. No one can stop you from RECEIVING what is yours, that is...except YOURSELF. ♥ ♥ ♥
