Today is National Aviation Day! I want to publicly express how much I love the two pilots in my life. My husband, Jim and my son, Luke. I am incredibly proud of both of them. Here’s a little story, Jim and I had a friend who worked in community health in DRC when we worked there. She was working in the refugee camps near Goma during the Rwanda/Burundi crisis. She was working hard and missed home. Jim flew in some supplies for her and he personally delivered them to her. She told me when she saw him off in the distance coming through the camp, it was like she saw an angel. He was bringing light to her in a dark place. She told me how much this encouraged her. This is what my husband did everyday. Now, my son Luke is doing the same thing. Bringing hope to many. Carry on you two.
